I am due an eye test and my current Lindberg Airs are getting on a bit, more specifically the lens have seen better days. They are 10+ years old now and i am looking at getting them re-glazed does anyone know how easy this is to do? Am i going to have to find someone who stocks them, the place i bought them shut down a while ago.

Re glazing is fairly normal if the frame is up to it. Try looking at

I have been using Air Titanium for over 10 years and have had them regularly reglazed to my current prescription. I no longer bother with the fancy inlay edging, just fairly normal anti-reflective, scratch high index plastic.

Costs me about £150 from my local optician.

Finally got my 15 yr old ones done recently, old air titaniums with wire rims. They’d been well abused and even posted surface mail back from Europe when left in a hotel, survived with no padding. Had to sign a disclaimer to get them reglazed- ie wire might break, but it didn’t and now they’re good as new.

Bought a new set of rimless, which I promptly broke within 3 months then got reglazed no bother.

    So you should be fine.
