Tracks that raise the hairs on the back of your neck. Physical sounds.

To cover the other ED of EDL: I had a big lunch, so just had a bowl of cereal before I opened a bottle of red.

Onto the goosebumps: Months after I first caught on the radio and thought “What the hell is this?!”, it’s still raising hairs.

Still remember hearing the first track that did this, Foxy Lady. Torn between getting more, and not wanting to wear it out.

I don’t think there’s been anything to compare to seeing this track opening the show at the Camden Roundhouse. Amon Tobin knew when the graphics were ready for his music!

Give us your goosebump tracks!

Both excellent tracks, I love Tobin and have had the pleasure of losing it to his shows a few times 😀

Jon Hopkins Open Eye Signal , i saw him last year at the Art School Glasgow with full video support – an epic night that blossomed into a 36hr session thanks to complete strangers that i met up there.

Jon Hopkins Breath this Air

And finally…. another Jon Hopkins track 😉

I could post other artists that i love but i’ll not spam the thread with my tastes……for now anyway 😀

Dunno whether dubstep really ticks the box, but the drop in this is hellish.

Also, this

Not many albums make me go all goosebumpy, except this. I do have to be in the right frame of mind though to listen to it now as it takes me back to the days of my A levels, girls, humour, life, no stress, open fires, whiskey.

Listened to the first three minutes of this about 8 times so far tonight. I feel a bit like I can breathe easier whilst listening to it for some reason ❓

Magma’s ‘Slag Tanz’ runs fingers up and down my spine – sometimes have it on the cans if out riding late I must admit it weirds me out over the marshes, especially if misty out. Same goes for their Tristan et Iseult OST…

Quick clip of Slag Tanz (live):

Honourable mentions also go to:

Little Dragon – ‘Twice’
Orb – ‘Valley’
Can – ‘Spoon’ (Live 1972)
Bauhaus – ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’
Naibu – ‘Gloom’

Tonight I ave been mostly drinkin liquid Dn’B

I’d absolutely love this on vinyl but I’ve never seen it for sale at a sensible price!

How can I forget about this one?

Four very different tunes but all of them give me goosebumps. The live versions especially after seeing them live.

“Song to the Siren” +1

TBH it’s all about context I think. As discussed on the radio the other week, one man’s goosebumps music is another’s “meh”..

I’ve got a set of ‘goosebumps’ playlist items in my music collection..
Just checked, yup, Song to the Siren.

Peter Grimes, four sea interludes.
Interestingly, the theme from the original Tinker Tailor (BBC series)
Bruckner – Locus Iste

and this.. (An Evening Hymn (though prefer with counter-tenor)

I had DMZ001 to DMZ012 on vinyl but had to sell most of them whilst self employed (was gutted).

Still have a copy of 12 though (not for sale!).

I still have DMZ001 as well because it got damaged in the post. The bloke understandably returned it and it is in 3 pieces, I cannot throw it out though!

Ah Peter Grimes. More goosebumps in the opera itself. Probably the best 20th century opera. No dammit, the best bar none.
Tinker Tailor theme is Geoffrey Burgon’s “Nunc Dimittis”. Great stuff.
As are Bruckner’s motets. All of ’em.
