Looking at servicing my Fox TALAS II RLC and the video shows a TALAS IFP Tool which costs £££ so a wee search dug up this thread on 36 TALAS service which talks about a bodge with a football adaptor needle. Anyone done it, any tips?

Cheers.
Just out of interest what are the benefits of removing the TALAS unit or are there none?

it's only worth doing if it's not working as it should and needs a clean. One 32s recharging the the air is not the difficult bit; realigning the switch is a PITA.

Check the MTBR forum, user there (nick Jerk Chicken) reported much better performance with IFP chamber fully deflated after performing the service on his Talas 2.

Thought about it, TALAS re-indexing is a pig. Left mine to TFTuned to service.

I made a an IFP tool for doing the older Talas 32 forks

NorthCountryBoy what thread does the IFP use, was thinking of knocking my own adapter up and it would be good to be able to do it in advance of stripping the forks down

Further to corvette's post, I've been running the IFP with no pressure for the past month and like how the forks riding. I'm getting better small bump sensitivity, and I'm using the travel more effectively for the same amount of static sag.
