[Closed] Forum looks different?

Logged in this morning (yes it forgot me again) and the forum looks different. Fonts and style maybe as well but the advert placement has totally changed. I have never complained about the adverts as I fully understand why they are needed but they are now appearing between posts on a thread? Anyone else getting this?

It's remarkably advert free here (even with an adblocker it looks like a billboard usually.

Much cleaner.

Looks worse on my PC at work.

Always used to be able to reduce the window size to keep the adverts off the screen for stealth viewing, the ads now move across with the RH edge of the window, and actually end up covering the threads list. This is on the front threads list page.

Inside a thread it seems okay.

Hmm, not sure. It's not letting me zoom in and out with a finger pinch on my iPhone. I think I like I though.

And the 'newesr post' column has gone, so you can't see which threads have been updated since you last looked, or jump to the end of the multi-page classics...

The view I'm getting on my phone is rubbish. Chrome on android. Text way too big.

'smart zoom' on the traditional forum worked brilliantly, just needed slightly bigger buttons for the posting box.

Adverts at the side are covering half the text on the forum posts, using a windows tablet, also CRC banners all over which is really annoying one is enough.

Tune association thread is 14452 posts long, but there isn't a way to get to last page

Need to be able to see who started a topic. Some people's I ignore entirely, others I read no matter how strange the title.

Otherwise, well, let's see. Change is always a bit strange.

Also, how do you go back to the main forum in a single click? Only link back to the bike forum, not the main one.

I needed an incentive to spend less time on here. Christmas came early. Can't read without glasses now, worse than my bloody management accounts!

Might stop giving "feedback" in a moment but, on the actual Singletrack homepage the image:text ratio is far to highly biased towards image. On the forum there appears to be too much space. Not enough use is made of my phone (android with chrome if that make a difference) screens real estate.

I like the fact the logged in P version has white borders rather than black.

It was white borders on my PC at home, but it's the old black borders on my Mac at work.

Crikey, they can't seem to win...

On a plus side, I can type first time on the thread without having to switch to desktop mode then back to not-desktop mode, so I'm happy, thanks.

Ah.... we quickly descend in to the oh-so-predictable 'I don't want to actually pay anything to use the forum, but nor do I want any adverts'

Life is just, like SOOOOOOOO unfair, isn't it princess?

A lot cleaner when logged in, so less conspicuous at work!

All the advert moaning from non-subscribers: get a grip for goodness sake. Pay some pennies, and you get a nice ad free experience as well as a digital copy of every ST mag ever.

Seems OK on my android and computer but if they want people to not use adblockers then I'd suggest less adverts.

Looks like a work in progress, have logged in, disabled adblocker and enabled ads in premier settings, but only seeing the square ad above "don't miss" to the upper right. That can't be right. (Firefox on Windows BTW.)

Just looked at the home page. Link wasn't exactly standing out. No grid layout just a massive list!

Looks awful. Fonts are too big, can't get back to the forum overview in one button. Safari on IOS.

Second line from the bottom of the page "Forum Overview".

Is there any way to reduce the font size? It's massive!

Also when you select the box to post a reply it zooms in slightly just enough to make the RHS go off the screen (iOS on iPhone 6). I'll post a pic if I can to show it.

Can't zoom the front page on my phone. That's a serious loss or of functionality. Adverts are fine, you need a revenue stream. But I can't read! The thread headings! No zoom on threads either but the font is larger.

Working well for me on Chrome on PC, and CRC adds aren't really too intrusive - I even clicked them and found some good deals I may indulge in after xmas.

On mobile, having to go through the main menu system to change forum sucks.

Inability to zoom anything is frustrating.

Menu system looks a bit amateurish.

Android here, I requested "desktop site" which makes it more user friendly.
