Getting my vintage FSR out for the first time in years, and it may well need new forks. No more than 85mm travel or the front end will be too high I reckon.

The Marzocchi MX Pro ETA 2007 from Chain Reaction look nice, but can I set them up so they’re shorter?

What alternatives would the panel recommend at £150 / £200 / £250 price points?

Is it 1″ or 1 1/8″ headtube? Magura XC forks are short for their travel… You’d probably have to look 2nd hand to get that sort of price though.

Rebas or floats can be spaced down to 85mm.
Or put a wanted add up.
2nd hand Rebas would be my choice.
As you could reuse them.

Are all Rebas air sprung? Would probably prefer something coil sprung unless they’re a lot more linear than the Judy Air Englund cartridges I used to run…

Weird that as thors and pikes are the same height for the same travel

Thors and Pikes arnt XC forks tho are they.

I’m basing this on alder Laurin’s and the Rond-Magura forks. They are both about 10mm shorter than Marzocchi MX forks or rockshox Judys with the same travel.
