I’m planning on doing this later this month. I have ridden off-road from Blair Athol to Aviemore, but can anyone recommend other off-road opportunities between Edinburgh and Inverness?

burgh->lochearnhead using the route 13thfloormonk did once through Glen Vorlich, up Glen Kendrum, Killin, Glen Lyon @ bridge of Balgie, over to Rannoch via the Larige Ghallabhaich, then onto Ericht- then various A9 options, including your Blair Atholl..

From Dalwhinnie, could go over the Corrieyairack to Fort Augustus. Then up the Great Glen Way. Or there are tracks from Fort Agususts to Glen Moriston, then onto Guisachan etc.

Sounds like a great trip – better than a coast to coast…

Depends what you mean by off road, there is a cycle path along a lot of the A9 but I think it is tarmaced for a lot of or all the way.

How long you got? Callender, glencoe, Rannoch station, either ben alder or glen garry to the a9 various routes from there. It would take me a while
