Pair of Pacenti CL25’s from on one = 80 quid.
Mavic Open Sport to match one I already have = 27 quid.

Shouldn’t be a hard choice as I could chuck in some new tyres and still be quids in if I go for the Mavic, but I’ll own the bike for some years so do I go for the ones I’d prefer?

    What would Guy Martin do?

Archetypes are wide like the SL25s (presume you mean these not the mtb CL25s) and have the brake track hidden under the anodising.

wrap masking tape around spoke / nipples

    remove stickers

    degrease Mavic rims

spray with black paint, i’d recommend Hammerite Smoothrite rattle cans 😉

No, defiantly the CL25, it’s a cyclocross bike.

Good plan Eashershore. Probably won’t bother removing the stickers, just spray right over them.
Should I take the wheels out of the frame or leave in and spin really fast to get a nice even coverage?

Ok – that seems a good price for a pair of CL25s. I’d go for them and then you’ve got the option of tubeless too.

I reckon spray while in situ riding on some rollers 🙂
