After seeing american classic putting a steel insert on their freehubs someone on here said they'd done something similar themselves. What did you use for the steel bit? I thought someone said something about those straight steel staple strips you get for photocopiers* but not sure.
*you put in a cartridge of these straight strips and the copier bends them into staples.

Dremmel, a spoke, and some araldite might work - depends if you think it's worth the effort... or if your just looking for an interesting wee project.

Spoke, not a bad idea, might be a little thick tho, do you reckon they are tough enough?
