I am a Gervais fan as well, it flopped ! 😳
I got fed up of Gervais years ago, despite being a hardcore fan originally.
He stopped being funny about the time he realised he was funny.

No idea what he was trying to achieve with this. An idiot abroad was contrived but with hillarious moments. Lifes too short was generally bad, but I guess because it was about a self deprecating midget it did have some merit and originality.
But this?? I really don't get it.

That whiney, creepy little laugh he does when he thinks he's being funny just makes me pity him.
If there is a hell, it will involve me being strapped to a chair watching endless reruns of Jonathan Ross interview Ricky (Ricky? What's wrong with Dick?, not man enough to carry it off?) Gervais.
I am proud of the fact that humour is subjective, which allows me to just look perplexed and wonder how he ever became famous

I thought it was a bad choice of subject, not funny for me.
I thought the subject choice was good, nursing homes are pretty much unseen or ignored in society never mind mainstream tv so was interesting to see something that brings them to people's attention. Of course that could be completely incidental to what was intended 😉
