Having received mild chastisement for my use of 'Quiver', which I freely use for my snowboards, it got me wondering what the correct collective noun is.

having had similar castigation for stable, I now go with 'shed'
What should I call mine? There's five of them, but I don't have a shed.
A Fleet would seem a fitting collective noun for bikes...
...in my opinion.
An overdraft of bikes?
selection/few
A Pride of Bikes
or possibly
A fettle of bikes
my bikes
our bikes
your bikes
A chain...
An overdraft of bikes
I like your thinking.
A spin of
How about 'a crank of bikes'?
Maybe that'd be better for a collection of those that use 'em - a crank of riders.
A ride of bikes?
A stay of bikes?
A mount of bikes?
A straddle of bikes?
I gotta log off now.
some bikes?
I LOLed at "quiver" - it's the association with the skill and heroism of an archer that I just can't fit with the overweight desk-jockey keyboard-warrior.
"fleet" as in "Fleet of carpark battleships" would be my (now) second choice.
I'm liking "crank" or "straddle"
A stoke of bikes? A gnarl?
Always been fleetfor me, but I do like the Overdraft suggestion. It wouldn't really apply to my collection of mongrels but how about a Bling.
What is wrong with just calling it a collection of bikes?
...Hareem
What is wrong with just calling it a collection of bikes?
Nothing, it's just prosaic, tedious and unimaginative when there are so many slightly camp collective nouns you could use instead.
A gaggle?
A posse?
A tangle?
These days? A theft of bikes.....
A 'rust' of bikes.
These days? A theft of bikes...
a haul of bikes?
A crash of bikes?
A rattle of bikes.
These are all taken...
A gaggle? of girls on a hen night
A posse? of blokes on a stag night
A tangle? of swingers
A boutique of bikes.
A shed/garage* of bikes.
*Delete as appropriate.
A rush of bikes
Post-ironic, slightly wanky collective nouns for bikes. Don't think I can top "quiver", to be honest.
What about:
A suite?
A 'plex?
A pod?
A mangle
A stable
metal gang bang.
Pair
and that's still one too many.
A load of bikes?
Some bikes?
or even... Bikes?
