I bought a Blackspire Chain tensioner to put on my wifes Ariel. Initially installed it but it the bolt heads are catching on the inner ring (Race face evolve chainset). There are currently no spacers on the BB so wondering if there is any detrimental effect (other than tweeking the front derailleur) to anything by putting a spacer either side?

I had the same trouble and had to swap the spacer over to the drive side crank and grind the bolt heads flaton the granny then file the tabs down on the frame ISG mounts. Its a problem with the race face cranks not the frame

the spacer is there you just cant see it have a poke with a screw driver

I had this problem with my e13 dual ring guide. I had a 2mm spacer anyway though so I just put it the other side to push the rings a bit further away and it just about clears.
