Stayed in the The Croft at Hawkshead a couple of weeks ago.

Pretty decent toilets etc. and a short stroll to the supermarket, pubs/eateries and about 3 miles from Grizedale

What are gurls and why do they need more decent facilities?

+1 for grizedale-camping.co.uk. A really nice bloke and you're allowed a campfire too, he'll even supply the wood!

+1 for The Croft , 2 min walk into town/shops/pubs for the ladies and easy access into forest for you , return via Walker Ground brings you out in the village centre /pubs for apres ride Pimms .

By the way, do you know The Sun is doing a £1 camping voucher at the mo?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/fun/competitions/promotions/4436270/1-camping-is-back-collect-tokens-in-The-Sun.html

Might be worth a look.
