Getting a PA on Wednesday, very excited. Been thinking of getting one for a while. Just wondering if any of the STW cartel (you guys) have any pics/tips on setup? I have a Fox Vanilla R fork 130mm that I'd like to use….

So show me what you got, I wanna get a general consensus (sp?*) so I can get it spot on.

Will Get a few pics up of the finished product for you to rate / slate.

    Here's mine:

Built it up in November,& about 80% of my riding since has been on it.
In the pic its fitted with Pace RC40XCAM forks, but an internal part broke,so I fitted some Fox TALAS RLC 85-125mm forks off another bike.

    Ride shot,descending Castle Crag:

Here's mine deep in the woods…

Currently got Revs on due to the Pikes being bust and with CRC.

I'm 5'9" and medium fits me perfectly but I do like my bikes with a long reach (must have ape-like arms)

6'1" and got a medium, but I am more comfortable on a smaller bike.

Running 130mm Menjas on it, which seem to suit it perfectly. The build itself isn't particularly lightweight but it still is light enough to run 1×9 with no problems.

Really came into its own up in Scotland a couple of weekends ago. Absolutely superb bike.

5ft 11 and on the 17" (med). Fits me spot on. Find it best at around the 120-130mm with pike forks. Pikes really suit the bike imo. Can pretty much handle anything on the trail. Got mine built up reasonably tough with coil pikes, hope on mavic 321, maxxis minion/ardent tyres, saint brakes, thomson, easton, XT etc. Not a light weight bike but still climbs pretty well. Bike really excels at tight twisty steep technical stuff. Love it.

My mate PJ on his small MK1 PA at Stainburn, he rode it to 9th place at the Singletrack Classic Weekender, (he was in 2nd/3rd place for a while but punctured on lap 3).

Nice photo of the jump above.

Here's an 853 with another sus seatpost.

8 speed thumbies x3, plus Psylo 120mm works well for me.

I've had a black mk1 on Revolutions and now an orange mk3 on Pikes. Love it to bits.

Nothing too special about the rest, hope hoops (5.1Ds), slx brakes 180/160, mostly Deore bits. The way it manages to descend so well yet climb back up so capably is ace. It's my only mtb and can't think of anything I'd rather have for all-round riding – from all-dayers to playing at the bmx track. Both of mine have been mediums, I'm 5'11 and the fit has felt spot on.

(reminds me, must get round to selling the mk1)

It'll be fine, give that's the (travel of) fork the bike was designed for. Now just build and ride the thing.
