    Where can I buy some of those useful little plastic C-clips for fixing brake hose to hose guides (much nicer than zip ties)?

    I’m sure I saw some on CRC, but they seem to have disappeared. I can source some Jagwire ones off of ebay from abroad but presumably they’d be cheaper bought in the UK.

    Cable Ties.

    You know it makes sense.

    Cable ties. Or I (just this lunchtime) bought a packet in Halfrauds in the bike section. They have small packets of tat for about £2, including bolts made of cheese and C clips.

    @Lionheart

    It is quite simple by the look of it.

    You will need:

    1 Cable Tie
    A 5-10mm piece of rubber hose.

    Take the cable tie and push one end through a bit of plastic tubing and around the brake hose.

    Thread the other end of the tie around through the 5-10mm piece of rubber hose.

    Cable tie around fork leg/brace etc as usual.

    I did spot the colourful metal ones on ebay, they’re produced by MOWA bikes in Sweden although the seller is in Hong Kong. I might try some.

    Precisely as you describe. With some careful manipulation the grip part of the tie can be positioned wherever it is most discrete.

    Incidentally, where did you get the clear hose from Three_Fish?

    B&Q do it by the metre in the rope/tube/chain section. Around 80p/metre, if I remember correctly.

    Or instead of using the clear hose you can use the lockring off a presta valve.
