Having just been partially retired, I need to fill my time, and work some more.
Have decided to go into hog roast business with kids, as its allied to their own business interest already, caterers, and marquees.

Looking for a name for it, needs to be useable across range so website, advertising, vehicle livery, clothing etc.

Have a few that fit the website bit, some don't fit with similar named LTD companies already, but thats not to much of an issue, as can be worked around under an umbrella co, others have the other half of .co.uk or .com already taken and similar business' so will need some thought, although none in immediate area.

This is where the STW massive come in! Need feedback can take the knocks if you think they are rubbish.

Anyhows, choices so far are:

PiggyNormans [family surname & little daughter likes it!]
DukeofPork
Cracklin-baps
pigonastick
cracklin
hungry-hog
piggin-out

all have the option of adding hogroast after them, just trying to keep it short and memorable.

I have my favourite from them, but.....

If any of you have any better ideas feel free to suggest them please

Thanks in advance

Mark

depends what market you're looking for - the ones you have a re abit 'jokey' to me.

if you're looking to do corporate events/posher parties/etc then maybe a bit more along the lines of;

"my location pork roasts"

with a line underneath about what you do best?

"quality whole roasts from local pigs"

or something?

Maybe look at teaming up with a local pig producer so you can use the name of their farm - gives a bit more differentiation from others doign the same thing and gives you a bit of a marketing start if their name is already known to butchers etc?

I like Piggy Normans - quirky and fun. Would need to have a descriptive strapline to ensure people know what it is.

Also it is broad enough to be flexible if you go into other foods (piggy suggest hog roasts but also pigging out so has a broader food appeal).

You could have the tag line.
"So good you'll squeal!"
Round these parts it'd just be considered "Finger lickin' good", but that might not work with hogs... 😕

Keep them coming!

Quite a lot of those have already been used elsewhere, and web names taken etc.

wwaswas I take what you say, and do agree somewhat, although the my location roasts tend to be run from franchisees, and reading through food related/wedding forums most of the complaints both of high price, low product quality seem to be against franchised operators who get to use the mass market company name and then the county, so trying to avoid that. Location will come into it for SEO in any case, so my very clever web creator tells me, so a search for roast pork bedfordshire etc should pick me up [hopefully!!]
Have a good local meat supplier on board already, including the organic option for the discerning palate.

All help most greatfully received never undertaken anything like this before myself, always been the hired man.
