  • Bowie fans, favourite track?
  • donsimon

Just seen a reference to a Bowie lyric on another thread and realised that in all the music threads there is very little mention of the musical genious that is Sir David of Bowie!!

    What's your favourite Bowie track?

Up there has to be Wild is the Wind.
Suffragette City was heard last week, which is excellent.
    Perhaps too many to mention.

My overall favourite has to be….

    Width of a Circle.

Let's see who the Bowie fans are.

Slightly embarrassing, but Under Pressure is the one that gets played most on my iPod……

Wild is the wind was pretty good and on a lighter note the covers on the movie The life Aquatic sung in Portugese.

    My top three most played:
    Heroes
Always Crashing in the Same Car
    Under Pressure

I think Under Pressure is in there on a technicality but it's great for a bit of prancing.

Good call with Tin Machine, a lot of people slated the first album at the time, but I liked it. I saw it as Bowie being Bowie and creative rather than responding to record company wishes and the Let's Dance stuff. 😆 But everything has its place.

    Well duh! 😉

I've had the fortune to see him three times, 83 in Milton Keynes Bowl, 93 Main Road and possibly 95/96 Manchester arena. 😀 Not old enough to have seen Ziggy. 😥

    Lordy, I love Bowie.

Bowie live at Live Aid was quite special at the time though, might be a bit cheesy now!!

My fave artist of all time… really couldn't pick a single fave track.

One of the things I like about him is that in the middle of a load of self-indulgent rubbish (eg. "Outside") there'll be an absolute gem (eg. "Heart's Filthy Lesson")

    Sell me a coat
    Rubber Band

I suppose a few oddities can be excused given the other great songs.

Letter to Hermione is one of my faves
