RACE DATES

Last call for race 2 pre-entry: save yourself cash and time on the day with pre-entry online (at http://www.xcracer.com )or snail mail if you are very quick. If you have already raced and got a number remember to bring it along again in order to start building series points for the great Hope prizes. The race 2 course has been designed with the usual tweaks to make sure that it’s very different to race 1’s and the trails will be fast and following.
Remember to stay for prize giving! A number of riders missed out on Hope and Crud goodies as we have plenty of spot prizes for the riders who impress the team with their smiles, jumps, or just having a go. We keep giving them out until we run out of numbers or prizes, if you are not there you can’t win.
Rider Goodie bag: Astounding Adventures are spending a lot of time putting these together for us, and to spice it up a bit there will be some bags with extra Hope goodies that we will drop in on the day.
Ladies! We now have the best prize fund around with parity with the men in both categories. We are working hard to develop women’s racing and want you to show the sponsors it’s worth it. With a £200 per race prize fund in Leisure Lakes vouchers sponsored by Bardon Aggregates and a series prize of a Hope wheelset as well as racing on the best venue around it’s got to be worth getting up early for.
Not so sure racing is you? Try our Have-a-Go Hero/ Heroine category with great prizes including a training course for the winner offered by Astounding Adventures it is on the easier course and it’s a shorter race and we guarantee a great mornings riding.
Kids! Do you have a kid who is 15 or 16 this year and who rides a mountain bike? Well tell them there is racing for them and we want to see them. With a great prize list for both boys and girls from Polaris Apparel and a series prize from Hope it’s got to be worth the teenage angst and to get out of bed and race!
Volunteer! We need marshals and other volunteers (timing team etc) to make the series happen. If there are no marshals there is no racing! What’s more we now have a great marshal goodie bag from Buff (sorry you only get this once!), warm gear from Express Asphalts and a drink and hot food from Tim the caterer. Add to that the great marshal prize draw (£50 and some sponsor goodies) you’d be daft not to help us put the race on. Contact us via info@brownbacksracing.co.uk if you can help either course setup (07:15 start), or marshalling (08:45) or both. Racers who assist with course setup get a free race. It’s key you let us know you are coming as we need know how many people are helping out.
