Out of the saddle climbing must be a bit tricky.

All the disadvantages of a recumbent and a normal bike, what's not to like!

Not much that hasn't been done already when it comes to bicycles - have a Google for the bellywhopper bicycle from 1956. I think the bellywhopper looks better though!

But that's one thing I like about the bike industry.. Never any shortage of wacky and interesting ideas!
I had a shot on a custom pro-cumbent constructed by the frame builder Venom, in the mid 90s. It had a smaller front wheel under your face, and you steered via a couple of stub bars attached to the forks. It was interesting to ride, but pretty twitchy.
Needs a dropper! ๐
