You've linked to the old style one, the new one is this one;

I'm interested in one but not sure if they've actually been available in the UK yet though.

Got one on my Mojo and works a treat. It did break, but I contacted Bionicon and they sent a new part in the post.
Link to thread on mtbr http://forums.mtbr.com/ibis/bionicon-chain-guide-sl-760958-2.html#post8886511

Official response to my breakage posted on that thread was

Hello Paul from Bionicon USA here, just wanted to chime in with our official response and policy.

โ€œWe are aware that this is the one weak spot in the design, it was intended to act like a derailleur hanger which would break before the C.Guide itself, but it was a little weak and has been redesigned. All C.Guides being shipped from this point forward will include the redesigned one. And for those who purchased a C.Guide already we are replacing them no question.โ€

As for the positioning, the ideal is to mount it where if it does swing or get knocked in it hits only the smooth sidewall of the tire.

So hopefully it is now more robust and will last more than 4 full-on rides ๐Ÿ™‚

No one has them in stock as far as I can tell, but they're due in the next couple of weeks. I'm going to give one a try.

I have the first generation one, and it does a very good job. Got a fair bit of scoring on it now, so will not last much longer, but it has been great.

Does it's job with minimum fuss, survived all bike park and alpine trips thus far, I like it.

I ran one of the old style ones on my Specialized Camber, done the job for 2x10 and 1x10.

Got mine from Zero G Cycles in Bristol, last time I was there they had them in stock.

I guess by Goldtec you mean BETD? I can't see them on the website (or even anyway of searching the bloody website)!

No, I tried to find them there too and failed. It felt like 1996 on their site.
