mind you I've owned some ugly bikes,

Felt virtue – top bike, fast as **** but ugly
Sinister splinter- Built like a brick outhouse definately not pretty
swoopy framed mount vision in pearly white- fab trail bike, looks like a hunched back munter
lots of on-ones – agicultural welding of gas pipes but I love them

I seem to choose bikes that suit me 😀

The point about all the strange fork and stay designs that you see on lots of modern Italian carbon road frames is the designers clearly have no idea what they're doing, or what they're trying to achieve,
OK, you can commend them for trying to be different, but thats about it.

And to add to the above, With most ugly MTBs, their 'differently comelyness' is a function of things like shock placement, pivots and such.
With road bikes THERE IS NO EXCUSE, OK? 🙂

Who remembers Kirk Precision? Though I never owned one, I found their ugliness strangely endearing.

I remember them. Made of magnesium I think. Odd, but somewhat likeable.
