    looking for some new climbing shoes, but i’ve not had to buy much new kit since moving down from yorkshire so i don’t know the local shops.

    there seem to be very few (other than go outdoors) near oxford, so i looked at MK: lots more shops but it’s often hard to judge the vibe just from their websites…

    any recommendations for climbing shops in MK (or else where near oxford)??

    The Outdoor Shop in Stony Stratford is very good.

    The outdoor shop is the best bet but it might be worth a look down at Bigrock climbing wall in Kingston as they sometimes have demo days and clear outs. The outdoor shop has a naff range of shoes though if thats what your after, and then there’s go outdoors in Bedford?

    Ellis Brigham not got a climbing shop nearby too? Should have a reasonable stock of climbing shoes

    Ellis Bingham have a shop in the Snowdome near the shopping centre.

    They even have a climbing wall that was our climbing venue until a real centre opened up a over a year ago…..never bought anything from Brighams though, too dear!
