Thinking of having a ride Sunday and wondered if anyone has been recently and know if it is doable?

Was there last wednesday night. Its doable but the snow is thick in places. Top half of the south was a waste of time though, carried up and down as the drifts are over a foot deep in places. That said we are due rain/snow friday and more rain saturday so that could well change conditions up there. The road up is pretty bad also, we parked half way up on the lorton side and rode up.

The road up from Keswick is fine. Conditions on trail frustrating at the moment. Fresh snow last night – 2" or so. Rain due for next 2 days.

Ayup Andy, you off work again today. 😛 Was round your way last night, Hopebeck was interesting as new snow was hiding all the off camber ice, nice!!

    Ah, Neil.

It's amazing who you find wasting time on here. Yes, off work – we got there on time (using dodgy Wath Brow back roads) to be told it was shut.
    Working at home.
Were you out with Les B?

Yes, he was out but running late so he joined us at lanthwaite end. We did a loop round Scale woods then across to Highpark woods, back through Scale woods and back along the wall. Good ride out but really, really slippy in places!! In contrast we went round the Bash on sunday and it was in perfect condition with loads of grip. Think the thaw monday, tuesday iced all the old snow up.

Thought you'd be off the other half got sent back from whitehaven also. 😉
