Specifically 3D designers - I really need to escape London and the insane cost of living, but it seems a bit of a design wilderness out there...anyone?

Where can I live where I can get a job related to 3D/industrial design and not pay £1000pcm for a one bedroom flat overlooking a railway line..!?

Pretty much anywhere. I'm an industrial designer too, 3D cad with SW or NX. Worked in wiltshire, Berkshire, Cardiff, Bristol. All have been good for riding (Cardiff was best) and reasonable property choices.

no, London is the only city in the UK where anyone works in 3D design........

there are no creative studios in Sheffield, Leeds, Manc, Brum etc. None, FACT
