Oh yes, get one today! Happiness is only a milk bottle away!

Yeah it looks gash, but combined with a normal crud catcher it keeps everything off, and is practically invisible when coated in mud, like it should be!

It can't be that hard, seriously. I

took scissors to a 4 pint milk bottle to get the basic shape,
marked off where I wanted to put cable ties,
cut with a stanley knife,
held in place with cable ties in 3 places,
trimmed shape a bit more with scissors.

Job done, go ride.

Idea blatantly stolen from Mucky Nutz, no apologies.

Edit: computer being gay error...

Looks cheap and cheerful. Like all mudguards, including expensive and miserable ones.

are pics not working at all??? I made a mistake in the links so it showed the first one 4 times, that should be fixed now.

/edit, not your computer fault at all.

It looks cheap and miserable (much like myself), but is mostly ridden in the mud and dark (much like myself) 😆

Should've used a Cravendale bottle for opaque plastic styling

I'm sure I've got a suitably black oil tub somewhere, nice one 🙂

Nice one!
I love stuff like that. Looks better than my innertube Neoguard.
Only slight mod I would make would be holes instead of slits for the zip-ties to stop splitting.
Some of these might start appearing on the wife's/kid's bikes.

Good work! I ripped off the mucky nutz too after seeing it on BikeGaydar.

I used the back off of a plastic folder and cordless drill for zip-tie holes. Would post a pic bit it's the coldest night in the history of the world, apparently.

Think I prefer milk bottle-tech for the larger size!

Winner! For ultimate colour customisation and slightly more rugged plastic covering!

Hooray!

You can but the real thing for as little as £3, there is a new model of this that comes of the handlebars and looks naff, or you can make the neo gaurd for free too using an innertube, as a gurad against water the milk bottle is fine, but I can imagine cutting it off trailside once your into proper sticky mud and its dragging on all the clag built up on your tyre.
