Indeedy as Pjay posts, try a different USB port or even better another computer (they supply different voltages iirc). Also your trying to access audio cd’s? Have you tried testing your audio ripping software (or just media player), to see if it recognises the cd?

  • You don’t need a ‘normal’ mouse, it may help to move away from that type entirely.. lots of rat or slugs (as I call them) suggestions here:

  • Good tweezers (I’d recommend ‘tweezerman’), and not tensing up is the answer.

I’d be interested in the results, as I’ve done the same on my yeti’s floor mats.

I’ve got a Silky Gomtaro, its great compared to a cheaper saw, cuts very fast and fits in a backpack.

Great tool, I have one too, I bought it in 2011 & I changed the blade last year just due to age/rust, as it get a reasonable amount of use.. I do get Silky envy about the Katanaboy though.

  • I’ve bought the release tool from R3Pro for the my Guide RE’s (buy the Code one) and it works damned well, the hassle is pushing them back in straight, but even I managed not to fuck that up. I was very impressed, great little piece of kit & encouraged me to clean the rear and my other bike (well I will soon, honest).

Was recommended a Stiga SC 24 ae unit by a guy who works in a garden machinery place, he’s put aside his internal discount to go elsewhere to buy one… I thought that a pretty good recommendation. Personally I was looking at their heavy duty(ish as they do a more power ful one..) hedge cutter supplemented by my silky. But bills have put pay to…[Read more]

`CL pads for me, not cheap but feel better than the oem’s and last well.

Again long term glasses wearer, my experience is that the big chains just want to sell you new kit. Trying to get them to re-glaze perfectly good frames was next to impossible. Found a good local shop & got my glasses, spares & sunglasses reglazed for a lot less than a new set from spec-express. May not be relevant for you just now, as your buying…[Read more]

Get one with an extended warranty & don’t expect much past that IME.

  • z1ppy replied to the topic Air fryer (…trackworld) in the forum Chat Forum 1 week ago

I want one, but the g/f won’t allow it, as we avoid frying anything (we have no space either).. m8 has one and made the best breaded chicken I’d ever had (not dripping with fat like normal). The advice seems to be, get the biggest you can, preferably branded.

  • Mantis shrimp, the colours full killer.. became more notorious a few years ago, but still a favorit of mine
    Mantis Shrimp

Mantis shrimps kill their prey by smashing them with hammer-like appendages known as dactyl clubs.

These move at up to 23 metres per second and accelerate faster than bullets, giving the creature one of the fastest blows in the animal kingdom.

It does kind of sound as though they are accepting that a lot of people are put off eMTBs because of the weight.

Why does it? As it sounds to me like Spesh have swooped in with a great new e-bike option & other will manufacturers will follow tier lead, just like the any other ‘new and improved’ product. Did weight put ppl off bike backs in the…[Read more]

It’s it just an alternative to Center Parcs but without the pool?
Are you stuck inside of it rains for the whole week

Yes, which is why we finally gave up on both and just hire cottages now. We went to the FoD and Thetford and one up Cumbria ways (they other site near by [walkable] had ‘more’ facilities). The cottages are very nice, definitely b…[Read more]

How often do you see the S-works & founders models discounted. They’ll sell them all.

My friend was sold a brand new 2020 S-work, not long after the launch, by Leisure lakes at a discount… I was very surprised and when he said had expected it to be a 2019 model they needed to shift, but this was not the case

The question was whether it was actually the mech or another well documented one where the chainring and motor lock up, which then trashes the mech.

So well documented, I’ve been an owner 6 months (with numerous friends with them) and never heard of it.

That SL is great and a great sign for the future of ebikes, the price not so much so, but…[Read more]

  • z1ppy replied to the topic extending Wi-Fi, second router? in the forum Chat Forum 3 weeks ago

There quite a few thread about Wifi/mesh regularly, the consensus I’ve seen suggest the expensive setups (ala BT) are expensive but work well, the cheap versions can work well but potentially not last. Hence I’m still on the fence and continue to use a powerline adopter and old router to extend my wifi
