Anker wireless vertical mouse is only £12 (or wired about £10) so definitely in the ‘take a punt’ price category.
I used to get really bad pain in my wrist forearm with a normal mouse, but it’s been greatly improved since getting one.

My hi-fi is a right old Richer Sounds love fest…
NAD 3020i amp, which sounds good but could really do with some more grunt. It’s fine but a conservative 20w per channel.
Luxman D322 cd player
TDL RTL MkII floorstanders, which i love. They’re relatively compact, but with a ton of oomph when needed.
I used to have KEF Coda 9s, but while i…[Read more]

I was in a pedalo on the river Exe with my girlfriend at the time & her brother.
He kept saying he was gonna drink some of the water straight from the river & eventually dunked his hands in & took a swig.
About 30 seconds later a semi-submerged used condom floated past. How we laughed.
Not really relevant to the OP, but all this talk of…[Read more]
stumpy01 – cambridge to sherwood pines is more than 100 miles each way so 2hrs riding would require about 5hrs driving.
Peak district about 3hrs each way so only worth doing if OP stays overnight.
Yeah, I suppose so. I still think of myself being ‘near Cambridge’ but I’m an hour up the road.
Sherwood Pines is about 90 mins for me & H…[Read more]
So yes, bastards. Double-hard bastards!
Until pine martens are reintroduced, then they magically disappear! No match for an apex predator that can climb trees better than they can.
I’ve posted this before a few years back, but what you need in any squirrel based encounter is a Presley….

There’s some half-decent trails at Thetford – nothing to test you as such, but they are good for a blast round. There’s a couple of waymarked routes and loads of off-piste stuff.
Depending on whereabouts you are going to be, you can get to the car park at Brandon in <40mins.
KingsLynn MTB have recently done a good job of reviving the Thetford…[Read more]
Sick of missing the semi-random bin collection dates in North Yorkshire so made a Bindicator. It grabs the calendar from the council and lights up with the appropriate bin colour the day before.
Wow – that’s great!
The Facebook android app is notorious for causing slow downs, never install the thing, the mobile site is fine. Messenger is also a resource hog
If you must have Facebook and Messenger look for Facebook Lite and Messenger Lite.
It’s what I use on my tablet and the apps seem to have virtually all the functionality of the…[Read more]
I bought a Ginger Wildheart album/collaboration called Mutation from Pledge Music.
There was info about it being a bit different from the normal stuff he brings out, but jesus christ that CD is weird! Listened to it a few times & gave up on it.
The Metallica album Death Magnetic sounds so distorted & clipped that I can’t listen to it; literally…[Read more]

When using Google Home stuff, you need to make sure you have the voice control thing set-up to recognise the different account holders, so it doesn’t default to the main account holder.
I am not sure if Alexa works the same way.
I used a diamond edged cutting blade in my Worx mini circular saw to trim some tiles that were already installed on the bathroom wall; not 18″ worth – perhaps 6″ in total.
It was much easier than I anticipated – no bother at all. It even came with the correct blade, which I only realised after going out & buying one (obviously).
+1 on the Ravemen lights….I got the PR1600 a while back. It’s a great light.
Not sure you could suitably replicate a ‘dipped’ beam with electrical tape. All you will end up doing is losing more of your available light, I think.
