I got my Humax Freesat recorder about a month ago from Currys.

Like others have said, I use catch-up mostly, my little triffid (mrsspursn17) prefers to old school it with recordings though.

I have a range of fairly blunt old heirloom chisels

I’d give these a go before buying a new set, the steel on the old ones may be very good quality?

I’ve had a couple of Bahco 424p chisels that have been great over the last few years, this Xmas someone bought me a set of them but the new ones are made in Spain instead of Sweden like my old…[Read more]

That Alfa is very nice, price is a bit eye watering though!

    Update

After some dark washes over the lightened base colour I applied several light grey washes of varying shades, RAF Dark Sea Grey seemed to work really well to lighten it even further. This was then followed up by more darkening of shadowed areas with washes of Lifecolor 207 Dunkelgrau, then even more washes of the lighter greys to the…[Read more]

  • It will never be big enough!😂

I have a single garage and have put storage units down one side only, along the opposite wall is my home made workbench which I built on heavy duty locking castors. I also have a Halfords tool cabinet on wheels which I can also move to wherever I want it, I find being able to roll things around makes good use of a…[Read more]

  • A friend of mine who had a coffee van (fancy French job) enquired about a pitch at winter wonderland in Hyde Park London quite a few years ago, I can’t remember the exact price but it was above 20 grand!

My next dog’s name is going to be Vexorg!

That’s a great website, the Thagomizer story had me giggling. I still feed the our moggy (Megatron) cat fud as well!

Damnation – a drama about a group of farmers striking in 1930’s midwest America.

This got pretty violent very quickly and had me hooked, burnt through the whole 10 episodes in a week of train commutes!

    No series 2 though ☹️

  • Please please please, let it be Sol Campbell! 🤣

  • Have you checked the jizz filter?😂

  • Revolution? I’m with you if you fancy it.

    I’m in!

I’ve always been interested in politics, and have always read newspapers (of various viewpoints) and watch loads of news and QT. Frankly, these last few years, I couldn’t give a flying one now!

All my voting life (since 1977) I’ve lived in a succession of ‘safe seats’ of various colours and h…[Read more]

Have you tried using water in a spray bottle

    This

I had a collie/pointer X that would go mental and bite my front wheel for about half a minute when we went to the woods, a squirt of cold water from a washing up liquid bottle cured it in a week.

My current nutcase rescue goes mad at other dogs when he’s on the lead (off lead he’s fine),…[Read more]

  • Bit dramatic rosey

No it’s not, I feel pretty much the same. Maureen has had his day, it’s like buying a 35yr old striker that used to be good.

I reckon Poch will go to Spain as there’s been rumours that his family isn’t happy here because of all the attention when they go out, probably poach Kane when he does!

    I wish him well.

    Eastern Front?

That’s the plan. Nice and hot summer dusty, no mud!

is it a tough primer coat?

Seems to be so far. I was most impressed by how it didn’t cover up any small details even when I applied too much and it pooled on some of the wheel hubs, I just left it to dry and it seemed to shrink on! #airbrushbuffoonery

Is that airbrushed or out of a can?

Airbrushed. I used Mr Surfacer 1000 with their Leveling thinner, goes on really smooth and dries very quick!

  • I used to get that when i was younger from biting my fingernails right down, doctors advice was soak in warm saline until you can pop it, then try and swill it out with same. Worked every time.

Just had a week off work (hooray!), but also had a chest infection so no bike action (boo!), so had a bit of kit time while I’ve been sitting about(hooray!).
Finished assembling the Bronco Stug 3 after painting the interior, it’s a nice kit with some photo etch and a metal barrel included. The tracks were a sod to make as they are 93 links each,…[Read more]

Beyond the trappings of wealth and position, he’ll have made mistakes just like I have

I’m nearly the same age as him, and I’ve made lots of mistakes in my life, but none of them involve knocking about with a very young looking 17 year old whilst in my 40’s!
