There’s a new gravel bike from Ragley – the Trig

by 0

It’s been a lot of years since Ragley bikes had a drop-barred bike in its range (remember the Rodwell and Cragg Vale?). The brand is probably better known for rowdy hardtails (of which there are still plenty in the range), but the Trig marks Ragley’s return to the world of curly handlebars.

The Trig. Ragley has it pinned as a straight down the middle, do everything gravel bike

According to Ragley, “the gravel bandwagon has split into more niches than experimental jazz”. So its gone straight down the middle, with a steel framed, versatile beast. The frame is triple butted 4130 chromoly steel tubing that Ragley claims will be lively and comfortable. The plan is for it to be supple enough to provide comfort on rougher rides but stiff and engaging enough to make you grin when you push harder.

Versatility

Want versatility? The Trig frameset features a 44mm headtube, 142×12 and 15mm axles, multiple bottle cage mounts and tyre clearance to run 700/650 XC/gravel/adventure/anything tyres. It comes in two builds available to keep the majority happy; 650b ‘adventure’ bike or 700c commuter/gravel/winter road/anything bike.
