Are you a female racer, over 18 years of age, passionate about cycling and looking for a ride for the 2015/2016 cyclocross season? If so, you might want to have a look at Amy D. Racing.
Amy D
Amy D. Racing is just one part of the Amy D. Foundation, a non-profit organization, “created in honor of Amy Alison Dombroski, whose love for cycling and life touched many people around the world. The Amy D. Foundation encourages and supports young women through cycling, inspiring the celebration of healthy challenge and empowering the confident pursuit of lofty dreams.”
Profiled in issue 004 of the digital magazine version of grit.cx, Dombroski was nearing the top of her game in the ranks of professional cyclocross racing when, on a training ride in Belgium, her life was tragically cut short in an accident. Seeking to support women’s racing, honor Amy’s inspirational life and to give financial opportunities to qualified women, Amy D. Racing is an elite-level program that completely backs one woman per season with a small army of financial and product sponsors.
Sound good? “Applicants should possess top-notch athletic potential, embody Amy Dombroski’s passionate and ambitious spirit, qualify to enter the USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships, and be available for a lengthy racing agenda.”
