I moved from Spark (just before they collapsed) to Bulb last year. Definitely cheaper over this winter, although the heating hasn’t been on as much as usual. But looks a better deal considering the price increases last autumn. In fact, Bulb has reduced slightly since I joined up. I’ll be staying for now but it’s free to leave if required…

Hardest job is sterilising the bottles. I use VWP so requires rinsing as well. And I only make 11 litre batches (yeilds 10 litres, or 20 x 500ml bottles, which is what my crates take). Well worth the effort though. I can get a really nice dry 7.5% cider from concentrate by adding a dissolved jar of honey. I’ll use fresh apple juice too if I can get it, but to be honest, even making from concentrate can produce a much better product than a lot of off-the-shelf shop ciders and at ~40p per pint. Worth an hours work…

I’d certainly be pushing for the same thing as your friend. And I would certainly ask the question in a way where I would get a written reply.
If it turns out he isn’t entitled to any redundancy, then he has a choice to make.
If he was to be made redundant again in the near future, then the original company would obviously be the best bet. There’s always that possibility that the new company could struggle and he may end up with no job and no redundancy at all…

Personally, I only use an SSD drive as a system drive.
Music files are stored on one of the mechanical disks in my PC and are backed up incrementally to an external mechanical drive about once a month.
Pictures and documents are backed up to the cloud, in this case, Amazon Prime space.
Don’t really do much video, but would probably go external HDD if I did.

But that’s just me, I guess you have to find what’s right for you and that will likely differ for lots of folk…

Only had a Mk2 1600 Sport, V reg. From memory, had Janspeed pipe, K&N, Weber Carb, Q-shift, Q-rack, RS alloys with slicks. Seemed quick at the time and seemed to handle OK for an 18/19 year old but probably would be poor in comparison nowadays, but still cooler than a BMW or Audi. Best thing was that you could do virtually all repairs and mods yourself. Some idiot would probably fork out a few K for it on Ebay nowadays as a project…

Yes, if you have it synced to a folder on your PC to auto backup, it will also purge on destination. You don’t have to have it synced to a folder, but then you would have to manually add your new files to your Dropbox webspace by logging in via a browser…

Well yes. This is a maths problem, so if you said the left shoe is x and x = 5 and the right shoe is y and y = 5 and then you said (with no maths symbols) what is the value of xy, I would say 25…

With no symbols to help, I’d default to multiplying items together, rather than adding them, to get your result.
