Would the card be readable in another S4, if you could borrow one, or is it encrypted to your phone only?

I buy as much media as I can afford. Without the ability to (ahem) borrow music I wouldn’t have spent more money, I’d have listened to (watched, played) fewer titles rather than bought more stuff. When I’ve been able to I’ve paid for stuff I already have because I’ve figured it’s worth it; by that argument it’s actually increasing sales.

I totally agree with this. I’ve bought CDs to replace most of what I had on vinyl and probably the same amount again on newer music. OK, the artists will see none of the £1.27 that I’ve paid to MusicMagpie for a CD reissue of an 80s album, but they would have had their cut from the original sale of that disc. But the artists are getting their cut from the new CDs that I buy because I’ve previously obtained the .mp3 from wherever. This is money that they likely would not have seen had I not been a bit cheeky.
I guess I’m trying to justify the ‘try before you buy’ attitude here. Saying that, I have lots of .mp3 that I will probably never buy on CD as they’re just OK. I guess I’m going to hell…

I’m not asking the question as it’s something that I intend to do. In fact, I’m doing the opposite. I’ve been buying CDs (new and used) based on the illegally owned .mp3 that I have amassed over the years, many of which I had previously owned (and sold) on vinyl. I’m embracing the availability and cheapness of CDs resulting from people going down the digitizing route. Yeah, I’ve been a bad boy, but I’m atoning, gradually.

What’s the biggest ratio of packaging to item that you’ve ever received from CRC? (Can you beat seat clamp in a shoebox?)

Can a pie ever just have a puff pastry topping?

I noticed the ‘so’ phenomenon being heavily used during the questioning of the last batch of Apprentice candidates. I suspected it was being used as a tool to allow a little more thinking time (as suggested up there ^).
Also, if you’re going to link to a ‘So What?’ song on Youtube, you should link to the best one. By Crass :-)

I never used to like stuff that did more than one job, but I’m glad I bought this. Streams DLNA, Spotify, Net radio (including 6 music (if you must)) and has a pretty decent sounding CD player too. It’s 200 quid, but does a fair bit for the money.

lol and paying money/linking your credit card to illegal stuff is a really good idea….

Well, assuming watching someone else’s streams is illegal, then you’d be committing an offence whether you used a paid service or a free one. If this is the case, you’re more likely to get caught out by information from your ISP, rather than a secure banking system, so paying for that service shouldn’t really matter too much. It does however, provide consistently watchable HD streams, unlike those provided by free addons…

No probs with TalkTalk fibre here. Get 77mb from a theoretical 80 (virtually on top of the green box). They are useless if you have to ring them (aren’t they all?) Got a decent discount for my contract: £32 for the fibre, phone line and basic YouView box. Not looking to change to anyone else if I can keep the current deal…

I’ve got the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 on stands which replaced my old floorstanders. I noticed a lack of bass compared to my original set up and ended up getting the Wharfedale SW150 to remedy that. This is probably the best sounding set up I have had to date. There is plenty of info out there on this combo but I suppose it all depends on the rest of your equipment, your room, your music and what you think sounds good. I certainly won’t be replacing any of this, unless it breaks…

I buy lots of CDs, old and new, as I like to have my music collection ‘on display’. Definitely more likely to play a full album from physical media.
I have even more digital music, but these albums are really treated as samplers, until I get round to buying the disc…

Kodi is probably the only app you will use.
Phoenix addon will show Prem League games in HD, I only use it for Saturday 3pm games as I have Sky Sports anyway.
Apart from that, I don’t use it. But the kids use it all the time for TV and Film stuff, chiefly, 1Channel, Genesis and Showbox addons.

Muay Thai will definitely give you a good cardio workout. My son does it. He’s only 18, with no fat on him, so he finds the fitness side very easy.
He does come home with bruises after sparring sessions, mainly on his arms through blocking, but you don’t have to spar at all if you don’t want to.
Can’t comment on the others, but clearly, if you put the work in, they’ll keep you fit.

I’d probably go the chick pea and kidney bean mix for the basic form, then add your onion, chilli, herbs, spices etc to taste. Bit of ev olive oil for binding if necessary, or egg if you’re not vegan…

The Berliner Kindl is a great beer, the Schofferhofer is a good wheat beer, even the cheapo french Brasserie is reasonably tasty for a few cold ones. Ever-changing ales are reasonably priced too. The chicken thigh fillets are good value, the chorizo ring, the Bratwurst, sirloin is tasty too. The ‘super six’ range is always worth picking up a couple of items from and seeing what you can come up with. Pasta is cheap (although not a great range). Pre-prepped salads are worth a look too…
