Can’t find any pictures of The Kitchen on Barry Crescent in Hulme

The Kitchen was a recording studio, the ‘venue’ was the 125 Club, at 125 Charles Barry Crescent. 50p in, everyone had to pay, even the bands.

I don’t really know the names of the vocalists, but I like Dead Prez, Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique (I think that’s a person). Oh, and Dirty North, from Manchester, if they’re still going.

A wacker will not be sufficient to compact the aggregate. I’d consider getting in a Bomag 120 just to be safe. A nuclear densometer will be useful for offering immediate test results of the compaction before progressing further.

Bit of both. Thought it was Eyam, but searching for a pub that I think may have closed before Google was popular, is not easy. I did a tour of a couple of villages on streetview.
If I remember rightly, we got dropped off here, did a night hike to Bakewell after closing time, then got the Trans-Peak 252 back to Manchester in the morning. Maybe.

Solved. It’s in Eyam, or it was. Now flats :-(

It won’t be Scotland at that time, I think maybe the Peak District, but Google images doesn’t help me there…

Of course they should be the right way up. My OH also stores mugs and glasses upside down which is probably the main reason we don’t co-habit (it’s not actually). Strangley, she doesn’t store plates, bowls or pans upside down for the same reasons though…

Crafty Hen is really good. Might even get a couple for tonight. Current favourite though, is Proper Job (St. Austell Brewery). It’s an IPA so not along the same lines as Hen, but really strong hoppy taste, 5.5% and bottle conditioned. Have a look at the Big Job too. You won’t regret it.

It was the other way round here. The power line adapters gave connection problems for my son’s XboxOne but no issues with wifi. Apparently, it’s really important with FIFA. VM 100Mb, Hub 3.

I know a Dr. Body, who is a consultant.
Also, there used to be a swimming teacher at my local baths called Mr. Pool.

It was just OK really. Nothing too great, nothing too poor. Never really been interested in them. An old mate dragged me to see them at the Ritz in the mid-80s. They all had flat-top hair styles. That’s the only thing I remember about the gig. Says it all really. That’s the first time I’ve chosen to play a track by them…
