Cheers for the tour of lordswood this morning WCA. I’ll certainly be back. (I’ll bring a full compliment of brakes next time aswell! Never good to see a pool of brake fluid in the van at the start of a ride)

Ditched the baldy bonce in favour of a grade one so no need to moisturise the head any more and as I shave my face around once every full moon all moisturising products are temporarily suspended!
(prior to this it was the men’s Avon stuff)

    Ooh cider?
I may be talked into Sunday if there’s cider!
( probably will be there with Dan (chojin) and maybe a couple of others anyhow) have yet to ride that way – looking forward to it :)

Yeh I’ve had no problems with them at all. Need some decent cutters though as they’re tough little fkrs

Cool. Depends on what the cable routing is like on them. If there’s the usual long exposed cable runs then the standard should be fine. Funny though I measured mine out for gore cables only this morning :)

I changed from reba teams to Sid xx’s and they are noticeably lighter but also stiffer, probably due though to them being bolt through where the rebas were qr. lovely forks, only downside is that they are a little more sensitive to air pressures and therefore fiddly to set up in comparison the rebas were dead easy.

It’s the sort of sound that can be heard when all the household appliances in the local currys come to life, after closing time, and get it on.

Are you going with Oliver from IBZMTB? If so you’ll have a good ride – top bloke and some brilliant trails. Nothing too technical but some great runs. I usually take a bike when I stay there and do the coast trails & went with Oliver to do his advanced trails up in the mountains – that was hard! But the east coast is much more chilled out riding :)

The reba teams are excellent forks to be fair. The sid xx forks are worth considering though if you cam get the price down as they are superb.
Either way if you get any RockShox, give them an oil change during the first few weeks of use. Both of mine came brand new and had hardly any oil in them. They felt nice out of the box but the correct oil levels made one hell of a difference.

Had similar with Ryanair, albeit a bigger mistake than just a space. Charged £150 for a name change at the airport. Would have been cheaper to go home and book another ticket online. In my defence it was a group booking and only met up with the others and got my ticket from them the morning of the flight.
My advice is get it sorted prior to departure day as they will sting you for £150 at the airport.

    Yeah ING
And the occasional mtb school ad, my clever iPhone has been on rides with me and has clearly worked out that I’m crap at riding and in need of lessons.

Cheers. Was a good ride. As you say it was nice to make up some time on the downs link. Finished in about 7 1/2 hours in the end. Good fun. My arse is broken though :(

The nice people at the BHF have sent me a gpx file of the route. Email me at Daniel-power@hotmaildotcodotuk if you need it:)

Have a furious Fred on order for the rear wheel as it’s looking dry for the weekend. Am generally feeling rather nervous about the distance now :/

Sounds like I’ll hedge my bets and stick a Ralph on the front as well as the rear. Good advice on eating and drinking plenty – I often forget about this. Have an awesome collection of zip vit bars, gels and gums so should be good. I may take a Cornish performance pasty though as well!

Was staying in an apartment in Spain and woke up to see the telly all fuzzy. Then a nun appeared on the screen who made a blessing type sign at which point I near shit myself… because I realised we didn’t have a telly.
Lots of similar weird shit goes on when I’m there and whilst I dont generally beleive in that kind of stuff I’m learning to embrace it.
Oh and there’s a cat that visits us quite often recently – except when I look back it’s not there. Very odd and too real a thing to be a corner of the eye type thing.

Ps. I’m not mad ( not in that sense anyhow )

Rumour is 7th sept – hardly worth buying a 4 for the sake of 3 weeks. Besides even if you wait til the 5 us out and still go for a 4 – they’ll be cheaper then. Which also means you’ll get less for a near new second hand 4 then as well.

Worth a go i would say. It’s a family orientated bit of singletrack so don’t expect anything technical, if you go a reasonable speed though it can be fun. That said its not got any real flow to it. The northshore stuff is s good crack though – it’s fairly small
But there’s some fun stuff there, there’s also some good downhill sections behind the northshore park if you go looking. All in all it’s a good laugh for a couple of hours – don’t expect it to blow you away though.
