Best LBS I have used, has awesome service, a good sized shop, water and coffee machines, a bike wash area, a workshop where you roll up and they have a look immediately and fix it there and then if they can, free organised bike rides – and it’s only a small shop….. Shame it’s in Spain.

It’s all good. I’m in Bournemouth and ordered a five two weeks ago. I am at least half scouse though so it could be my inner northerner that bought it!

I’m a day and a half into being fag free now – its got to stick this time as I’m feeling very unfit at the moment compared to how I felt before giving up on giving up last time.

Goodreader is a good app and the mag works fine in that.

Just recently had to claim with Evans cycles insurance (jlt online) can’t fault them to be honest. Perhaps the claim time was a little slow but they paid out with no problems and as I had insured the bike as a custom build – for the value of the collective parts they just paid my lbs directly and none of that voucher nonsense. The claims admin were really helpful aswell. They worked out comparable cost wise – but watch the excess if your bikes kept in a wooden shed.

Loved my m4s that were recently nicked. Have ordered x2s for the new bike though as they were probably overkill for most of my riding. Lovely kit the hope brakes, easy to service and if you went for x2s and someday decided to change to an m4 front (or visa versa) it’s easy to just change caliper.

We’ve one fat blackbird that’s been gorging himself on the grapes from the grape vines in our garden, everyday for weeks now. He’s getting kind of friendly now too – either that or he’s now just too bulky to fly away quickly.

Just ordered a 17 inch, I’m 5 foot 9 (32 leg) and it sounds right for me, I considered a 16 which would have been fine for trail centre type stuff but too cramped for a whole day xc type ride.
I’ll find out for sure when it arrives next week :D

Hope hubs for me. Had my last ones for 3 years and never changed bearings or had problems. I cleaned them out once and replaced the pawl springs but more because I was bored than anything else as they didn’t need doing. Plus as others have said, if you have any issues with any of their products their customer service is legendary!

Yep – ours arrived today and it’s been replaced by a new 6th gen 8gb model. Result.

Orange Five pro, although to be fair it’s replacing my superlight that got stolen last month , rather than a treat as such. Still feels like a treat though!

You can use the check repair status thing on their website. I’ve checked and mine was only received this week ( sent two weeks ago)

Our postman often just puts the card though the door rather than knock or ring the bell. Infuriating when you’ve waited in and I just don’t get why someone would do that – surely pressing the doorbell is less effort than writing the card out?

I did venison steaks a couple of years ago. Even used twigs from the garden and red cherries to make them look like Rudolph :)

Mainly because some anal dwelling butt monkey stole my bike.

Mine went on Friday. Was chatting to Jedi on FB about it on the weekend. Was locked in the shed to a chain that goes through the floor. They couldn’t break the lock so sat in the shed and dismantled it – even took the shock off the frame. They could have easily had the £500 brand new track bike in seconds but instead went to the effort to completely strip 3ks worth of mtb kit.

Some tw@ did the same to one of our cats a few years back. Poor little bugger nearly had to have its tail amputated. Some proper sick people about.

    Thought I’d join in..
Completely collapsed this weekend – at the 3 week mark and starting all over again today. Had some bad news re my best mates kid and my god daughter, getting the news that we’d dreaded – doctors saying there’s no more they can do and she’s got just weeks left. I have found my reaction to something cancer related (going back in the fags) is odd – or if not plain stupid. Starting again today though and must say the stories in this thread have spurred me on – so thanks!

Was awesome fun! The not being able to freewheel was and is something I need to get my head round. As is the full Lycra get up!
