Just packed mine up for Ibiza.
Got a cheap avenir bike bag off eBay £35 and have used a double sleeping bag to wrap the frame and forks up for some extra protection and used old foam camping mats to wrap the wheels. Rotors and skewers removed, brake caliper removed at the front and rear mech off , plus spacers put it the callipers.- the mech and caliper got wrapped in bubble wrap as well for good measure. I also took the cranks out and wrapped them up as I didn't want them getting bent or to rip through the bottom of the bag .
Hopefully this is enough – I'll know on Wednesday!

    120. Reba teams. They were at 100 but since changing them to 120 it's transformed the ride- much better imo

Cheers for the replies. Has to be from crc as I have some vouchers otherwise the ones from on one look a good bet. Think am leaning towards the m161 s – the diadoras do have carbon soles though – does the really make much difference?

    It's all good.
I wonder though – If there were no miserable argumentative people would the nice people not seem nice?

I seem to have an issue with the nonsensical drivel that some of my colleagues spout continuously – and it's like bleeding groundhog day , the same shite day in day out.
Some of them on the other hand are quite pleasant – just not the ones I work with. Thank god cycling home gets me back out there away from people for a bit!

9 seems to be about right for me. Although I only tend to get 8. Oddly I often feel knackered during the week and look forward to the weekend for a nice lie in , only to then get up at stupid o'clock on the weekends to ride the bike – ending up with even less sleep but somehow much happier.

Could always just do the July trail shortcut – that gets the best descents of skyline in and misses a load of single track. Think there's still a diversion on skyline at the moment though that cuts out some of the first bits – haven't done it since it's been diverted so don't know what the effect is. Other than that it sounds like skyline may well take you a good 6 hours

On one hand I think fair play and good on him for putting effort into his invention. On the other hand I think it's the sort of vehicle that would by the looks of it be ideal to drop a person off at the local mental institute.

As someone mentioned above though the wheels are going to turn at different speeds.

I've had a couple of accidents on the way back from the boozer. Both times it happened to be foliage that somehow pulled out in front of me though.
I didn't sue though – just gave said foliage a stern, if not slightly drunken, talking to.

Depending on where you want to use it you could go for a docking station that plugs into your stereo/sound system. I have. One of these http://www.froogle.richersounds.com/product/ipods-docks-accessories/cambridge-audio/id10/camb-id10-ipod-dock

Have to say the staff at swinley ( ranger chap and ladies in reception) were fantastic and an enormous help last Saturday. A friend of mine stacked it in a bad way and broke his collar bone and both wrists on a bit near Surrey hill ( big steep drop in with a jump up the other side).
Their medical advice, help in getting the ambulance etc was very much appreciated. Doing a fantastic job IMO.

I popped in that newsagent, more of a off licence than a food outlet it has to be said. Seemed to be doing a roaring trade on 4 litre bottles of cider when I was there!

From last years experience there are few at the trail centre and trails but if you head further up the road near trawsfynydd there a billions of them – a real pest. Seems to be a problem if you are anywhere near trawsfynydd lake.

Build a jump , over the badger set. That way you don't have to move them and get the added thrill on your trail – hit the jump wrong and you're badger food.
Alternatively teach the badgers to mountain bike and everyones happy.

It's worth doing for the last couple of descents alone. We went up the other weekend and did W2 on the sat and cwm carn on the way home. It's all good :)
