Didn’t he **** off and leave Plymouth whilst contracted to the club though – leaving them in the shit?

Gotta say I like the guy though – great entertainment!

Some nice stuff round Burley or the Purbs as you say. Always worth checking the Dorset rough riders calendar as well – I’m sure they won’t mind you tagging along for a ride or two, there’s usually some food ones on near Xmas too. http://www.dorsetroughriders.com

apparently the next task for the rescuers of the Chilean miners is to visit Anfield and advise Roy Hodgson on how to get out of a **** big hole before Christmas.

Have been using the Kevlar ones and never a problem. Cant remember the last time I changed them either – the last lot seem to be lasting forever.

One day if I can no longer stand the rigours of mountain biking I will go back to sitting on a chair at the river fishing. I’ll always have a bike but it’s mountain biking that does it for me and not other types of riding.

3.5 miles from work . I’m not exactly what you would call a morning person – so it’s straight in and the scenic route home. Luckily there are a few routes I can take home varying between 5 and 20 miles, so I mix it up as much as possible.
The other advantage is that there is a shower at home where as the mud splattered look isn’t wholly acceptable at work if I do the off road route on the way in!

I usually get lost when riding alone so my mind is usually taken up with ” I wonder what’s down there?” and that then reverts to “where the **** am I?”

I quite often have a sneaky race with a lycra clad roadie on the way home. **** knows who he is but it’s becoming a regular occurrence. Dont think he liked it when I overtook him on my fat tired inbred wearing baggies and my shirt and tie the other week and then started bunny hopping the draincovers to rub the salt in.

( to be fair the skinny wheeled swine usually drops me though)

Thing is, you got up and cycled home I expect and it’s taken 24 hours for the pain to find you.

Cheaper to buy new brakes with the right length hoses? Bought new hoses for mine £40 – new brakes would have been£300. Cant see where you are coming from here tbh

When I win I intend on employing a chauffeur. After all post lottery I am likely to be far to pissed to drive for some considerable time.

Queens is great . As already mentioned it run by a nice couple too – which is always nice.
I’m up there myself in a few weeks and as I csn get in the queens on the dates I need I was going to try either brynteg house or possibly Afan lodge. Anyone any experience of the latter?

A cold hit me thurs last week. Went out and did 40 miles on Saturday and was so far off the pace it was unreal, after the first hour I had no energy or strength at all. It’s the first time ever that I’ve really not enjoyed riding and woke up with the start of a chest infection on Sunday – just to really top it of.
    Really wish I didn’t bother.

Just bought some of the ashima ARO3s and first impressions are very good, seem much better than the avid rotors they have replaced. Running them with juicy 7s. Have gone up a rotor size though so that could be part of the difference – impressed though for sure.

Shame really I’d love to take the piss but current results suggest I do otherwise.

Merlin are spot on – crc are usually pretty good too, only issues I’ve had have been with royal mail rather than them.
Lucky thisorning aswell – ordered some stuff from crc and it didn’t arrive with the postman – left for work 11:45 (late shift) and cycled past a royal mail van , turned back and followed said royal mail van back to mine where he parked up and handed me my parcel. Saved a trip to the sorting office tomorrow!

For fun / adrenalin / relaxation all at once. Messing around on or with bikes is always fun. I love the rush of riding fast singletrack and at the same time being out there is a great stress relief after a bad day/week – in fact the way this week is going I need a ride to avoid going on a killing spree.

Also I used to play football, which was nice but sometimes you didn’t win, same with snooker. Have always been into fishing great for getting out there again but again sometimes there were no fish. With mountain biking on the other hand – the hill is always there to ride up and back down again – it’s a win every time!

Took a couple of them 2 yes ago around Xmas as I was feeling shit and couldn’t sleep . Still didn’t sleep all night, spent the night sweating and mumbling like a zombie . Not a good night at all. I then went on a deep sea fishing trip early that morning – not my best move ever tbh

    I'm considering one myself .
Anyone have any experience of if the shock upgrade is necessary? Um sure I read somewhere that the pivot design doesn't require a lock out/adjustable can?
