There’s no doubt something went to the moon , whether man went with it is the question. A transatlantic flight exposes you to enough radiation to take 5 minutes off your life.
There’s some serious radiation on the moon and they managed to get crystal clear pictures with no fogging.
Not to mention the amount of radiation the astronauts were subjected to. I would have expected a high cancer incidence of the returnees.
If these thin suits are so good at radiation protection why weren’t they issued to the emergency services at Chernobyl?
Admittedly this is stuff I have only read about I welcome a counter position.

Can’t quote exact figures but one of the biggest problems of going to Mars is shielding the astronauts from radiation.Think it needs 9 inches of aluminium.
So it’s quite surprising that the men on the moon were quite safe with a relatively thin suit.Radiation on the moon is pretty extreme.
Looking at the facts I would say it’s unlikely we have been to the moon but I am sure the Russians wouldn’t be in on the conspiracy.

In a slightly different thread. Have you managed NOT to pimp your pub bike? My one is significantly better than my best bike of 15 years ago.
Xtr v brakes, ceramic rims xt hubs and a triple butted aluminium frame.
All bike hand me downs though.

While I think about it didn’t Specialized make a bike with a 24 rear and 26 front a few years back?

Does anyone know why road wheels are the size they are?
What other wheel sizes are available, seem to remember as a kid having a 24er(!) then going onto a 27 when I was tall enough.
Have 26 inch wheels only ever been on U. S cruiser things previously?

It’s just another kind of bike, no one is forcing anyone to ride one.
I love them and can’t find a single drawback.
Let’s all pick on fixies instead. £ 600 for a rigid bike with no gears and one brake, how does that work?

All our ‘tracker ‘ bikes as kids in the 70s were racers with cow horns and knobblies.
If off road cycling had evolved without American influence we would all be riding 29ers.
Would anyone feel the need to invent smaller wheels?

How much sealant do you need to add and what does it weigh?
Considering tubeless as the thorn season will soon be upon us,but if this works it seems a lot less hassle.

Do you not think that if off road cycling was allowed to evolve in europe with no u.s intervention we’d all be riding 29ers.
As a kid my tracker bike was a racer with knobblies and cowhorns.

Surely we are missing the most important thing.
The more people who have these the less power stations we will need.
Power stations will soon be owned and run by the Russians.
They held the Ukraine hostage. Anyone trust them more than our government?
Power self sufficiency should be our number one concern.
Nuclear power station , nuclear target. Can’t imagine Johnny Terrorist being bothered to blow up eveyone’s solar panels.

    From experience I would ride a 29 over a 26 hardtail anyday.
Not sure of the specs on each bike but the 300 euro difference would upgrade your fork if needed.
Everyone who has rode my 29 has been converted.

The human rights act was intended to stop the death camps happening again.Any scumbag that hides behind it is kind of cheapening 6 Million peoples death.
There have always been scumbags and riots.Prison doesn’t work or rehabilitate. How about we let prison punish.
Flog anyone caught on video then make them mend something.
    Vengeance pure and simple.

Not seen what you are on about but is this the modern equivalent of a clip round the ear from a bobby that our parents were so nostalgic about?
At least with chavs we have a minority it’s ok to hate.

Seems to me the markets drop. Someone comes up with a plan to make it right.
Governments say they will enact plans, markets go up. The governments enact plan, markets go down.
Bankers seem like spoilt kids always wanting attention. Screaming for chocolate they eat it then start screaming for more.

No way of narrowing a whole decade down. But out of the ones here the nod goes to the Feelgoods.

I am 5 8 and ride a 16” scandal fits perfect but I am on the limit of my seatpost.
As regards 29ers I would say they are better than rigid 26ers but not as good as a full sus 26er.
Having said that it is the bike I ride the most and most likely to take a picture of!
