HSBC have been fine for me, can you not go online and print off previous statements? I can.

Although being paperless is hardly green, do servers run on fresh air?

Can’t remember the first album but the first single was definately Paul Hardcastle -N N N N N NINETEEN

Sadly it only lasted a few hours as when we had a game of footie I had the sense to prop it up against the goalpost.

Records for goalposts, isn’t it, wasn’t it

    35 mpg? that much?

If you’re serious about selling the CTR mail me, I’m currently in the process of haggling with a Honda dealer, only they don’t seem to want to play ball, you’d think they don’t need to sell cars.

If it was me I’d look at getting a boring passat estate or some other barge if you want to save some cash on fuel, but seriously look at the mileage you do, you need to be racking up some serious miles to save alot. I do about 6000 a year so 20-25 mpg from my old VTi doesn’t bother me really.

A New Ultimate Carbon, which I import, is 125g, but XC only, with a 90kg weight limit, and also costs about £160.

Where can I buy one of those? 125 g you sure?

Well they are talking horse shit.

Part number QBH002R Standard hose 1.5m with fittings £15.99

Part number QBH002RS Braided hose 1.5m with fittings £32.99

Both in stock with Raleigh, note that they sell rears only but isn’t a problem as you can cut it to length.

Always buy new, used to stick with the one bling XC hardtail, about £3.5k worth but this year I’m going for a more modest SLX range hardtail, a new CX er and a jumpy type bike, I figure it’s beter having 3 bikes rather than one do it all bike.

Although I’m an LBS bloke so get them on the cheap.

Unfortunately what the dealers are telling you is kinda true, I’ve stocked womens Orange Fives in the past and had no interest whatsoever and had to discount them heavily at the end of the year, it just makes financial sense to stock popular models that will sell.

Can’t find a UK number, got a euro number though, 00 31 541 589 898, that’s the Netherlands in case you were wondering.

Not sure if you can stil get them but Blackburn used to make a wishbone adaptor, or the alternative is a few companies out there are now doing seatclamps with built in threaded carrier mounts.

    Yeah not sure either

Matching the swingarm colour to the forks would help

Or leave the rims alone and have the forks colour matched to the frame

Well I rode up this only yesterday, much steeper and more camber than the pics show.

Bloody windy at the top too.

Funny as I think it’s perfect for the job, you need to bleed that way as air goes up not down. If you attach old old Shimano bottle to the lever end bleed hose it will be completely mess free, forget about putting a plastic bag with a zip tie as Hayes suggests, it will just piss back down over the lever.

However it’s alot of money for some plastic and a tinsy amount of brake fluid.

Yeah the new Dusters haven’t arrived with the importer yet (Hotwheels), I’ve got a mid on order I’m waiting for. ( I presume you’re waiting on an ’09 version?)
Should be worth the wait as the new ones have lighter stiffer triple butted rear ends (oo er).
Due at the importer 22nd March so should be with you about 7 days after that, although that depends on the boat arriving on time and of course customs.

You have the absolute right to demand where you get your replacement goods from, DO NOT accept the crap the insurance company gives you.

Shame goes if you have insurance done on a car or house, you have the explicit right to use who you chose to get your replacement/repair done.

    Buy a mondeo instead.
Seriously, I had one as a hire car once, wooly steering, gutless engine (although it was petrol) and cheap tacky interior.
The only one good thing about it was the air con had vents in the rear.

Bugger, ok was just an idea, I’ll email a couple of my suppliers for you today then see if any are willing to do a deal.I’ll be honest though manufacturers and retailers get these requests all the time.

On the serious side what the world will be like for my son when he grows up.

For me still being single at 36 is now niggling.

Oh and on the lighter side of things I hope the cafe next door never stops making their fudge cake.

Why not use cyclescheme? Ok it’s not what it’s for but surely they will need to do some training and maybe they could do that cycling to work?
Depends on the NHS trust though, so do cyclescheme some don’t.

Yep nothing is really new in the world of bikes, they were on early Fishers.

The real issue with BB’s is the industry standard of the BB shell size, make that bigger and house the bearings back inside. Been done on BMX’s quite succesfully, although they have gone samllerthan the original USA size, although that was originally to accomodate 1 piece cranks. Raleigh used a larger size in the eighties and nineties which seemed very relable given the fact they were budget ball bearing races inside.

Modern cranks are also much stiffer and put more load on bearings.

Just picked it up in Tesco on the way home, funny how music affects your driving style.

I was banned from driving in ’95 for excess speed, on a motorbike.

I have written off 2 cars.

That’s about it really, currently have a nice clean licence and lots of NCB.

Although I have calmed my driving with age, although I do enjoy an occasional thrash in excess of speed limits

Can’t really believe they are peeps out there with that attitude.

Still, at least someone on that forum has a sense of humour.

ok I’m going to try to be evenhanded about this after some of the hamfisted comments made earlier

on the one hand she seems harmless enough, but on the other… she just doesn’t seem to have grasped the cbeebies “presenter style” yet. I guess that may come with time.

overall, I’d give her one thumbs up at this stage

A good solicitor will help you out with that, might cost you a few hundred quid.

However your wife may be caled up about her licence, possible up to £1000 fine and void insurance if she has an accident.

Maybe I should clarify, we charge £20 for a disc brake service, per brake.
It’s not just bleeding, the fluid is flushed through and new replaced, lube pistons where possible, face the disc mounts if nessecary, check pads for wear.

I prefer to charge full whack and do the job fully, we either do it fully or not at all, you can’t make errors or mistakes with hydro brakes. A quick bleed may not find other brake issues that are present. We could end up liable if an accident occurred as we would be deemed liable once we have worked on the brakes.
