Not really, obviously chain/chainring wear will be at a higher rate.

Haven't seen one in that length for years, you could try getting the old out, nipping down to the LBS and comparing it to 107mm.
Overall axle length doesn't mater too much, what matters is the amount of axle showing from the driveside cup for good chainline. A Shimano 118 for instance is 1.5mm longer on the drive side than an FSA version.

Isn't it silca crystals? You get little packets of it in shoe boxes.

Also don't pretend to have chronic stomach pain when you are trying to skive off school because you haven't finished your coursework.

6 hours later they had removed my appendix 'just in case'.

Mate has a Hope 4 led and it's not as bright as my L&M Seca 700, the hope is supposed to have 260 more lumens. I like the hope battery though, fairly compact.

Yep as above, 6ft is allowed, but you are also allowed to put trellis on top too.

If the forks are OE you would need a receipt to prove which bike they came supplied with. Or back to winstanleys.

Well I know that there are some BMXs on their site which say not in stock but 7 days delivery, I know for a fact that there are none available until mid Jan at earliest.

Isn't this the same as the 'Jam Jar' effect?

The theory being you will sell more jam by having 10 varieties to choose from to make a quick simple decision, rather than 100 to bewilder the customer so they leave empty handed.

Shimano always come with inners and outers, unless they are OE. SRAM usually just have wires.

Yeah I liked that Pace, the chroming on the stays is a neat and practical touch, good to see there was a hanger for a rear mech on it :D

There was lots to look at from a personal perspective, too many fixies though even if some of them were gorgeous. Good to see BMX there in numbers. And of course Emily.

From a trade point of view other than BMX there was little I'd be looking to sell, found a few bits though like those plastic round bike hangers, Brooks trouser clips, and some rather neat Lezyne CO2 inflators.

Still managed to spend £5k of someone else's money at the show in orders though

Yep I was pretty unispired by it all too. Having said that I've been going to bike shows for some years now. Good to see more BMX there this year.

Highlights for me were Emily on the Pace stand, the BMX rad doods showing off on the ramps and getting lunch at the Gourmet Burger Kitchen (about 200 yards on down across the road from Earls Court).

Oh and the product for me strangely were those funky coloured bike hanger made from plastic.

As said above I think more R&D time should be spent on beam patterns. Putting ever more powerful LEDs into the same casing seems pointless once you've got past a certain amount of lumens.
I've got an L+M Seca 700, easily makes my mates ARC look dull, the distance the beam reaches seems fairly equal but the Seca has far more spread (which is brighter).
I tried Hope 4 LED and Seca 700 LED side by side and the Seca appeared brighter with a much better beam pattern.

Still wish I bought the 900 now :(

Things to look for are short ish top tube, unless he's tal for his age, less than 20" if you can find it. Cro Mo frame and forks are not a massive priority at that age, a ten year old is normally alot lighter than an adult. 3 piece cranks are a must though, along with smalish chainwheel, 36T or less ideally. Helps with clearance on ramps and grinds.
I'd suggest a Mongoose Capture, £199 and it weighs far less than the '09 models.

I've had to deal with a tsunami of vomit from my 6 year old for the last 24 hours. The next 24 hours consist of laundry and cleaning non stop :(

Well count me in for the Boxing Day ride, I was up white sheet hill only this morning, it was fookin' howling up there and had all the grip of ice!

I'll hopefully be sorting out night rides from the Warminster area soon, I'll update this thread when I have confirmed details.

We sometimes have a 'team meeting' in the pub. Seeing as we have only 4 employees it usually ends up in us just getting drunk and going for a curry.

Just looked on CRC, that's Deore M531 which is now discontinued, replaced by M591. The CRC price is less than I would pay trade. Price for the newer version is £44.99 strangely.

I think you might find you have no cover if you admit liability. It's really hard, but apparently you shouldn't even say 'Sorry'.

Sorry but that's incorrect, that's the whole point of car insurance, if you have a knock regardless of who is at fault they pay out. You will loose your no claims bonus though unless it's protected. Saying 'sorry' also doesn't imply liability, I know this as I had to go to court for a knock that happened 2 years ago.

Surely some metal barriers placed along the road would be better, how are speed bumps going to work? As above it would probably make me go faster.

What lights are they? Just because they are over 12 months old doesn't mean they have no warranty. I'd expect lights to last far longer if I had spent £30o on them.

Zeds easily wins the drag race here! How much cash has gone into that?

Just getting into the fast car thing myself, when the lease car arrives my ageing Civic VTi is going to be rebuilt, already got a turbo and some rather large brakes. I thought bikes were expensive, cars are a different league!

Yep not too difficult to warp discs on a car, my front discs have only lasted a year before warping again :-(
