Well the issue is of course the left hand crank won't fully fit on the splined axle as it will be 2.5mm short, can't imagine that staying on too long!

Why does he need new levers? The outer parts just unscrews, non?

Should be able to pick those up at any bike shop, think we sell them for about £1.50 each. Looks like a 6mm one to me.

I staggered at what some people think cyclescheme is for. It's designed to get people out of their cars, not to fund your next shiny bike purchase on the cheap.

I get asked often to 'top up' vouchers above the £1k limit, which I refuse to do.

I also know of an employee who may shortly be losing his job as he thought it was a good idea to sell his bike on before the final value fee.

How about if all new members could only register with an ISP email address? Alot of forums I use do this, stops trolling and multiple accounts being set up.

Sounds daft I know but have you checked the wire isn't kinked in the shifter? Try a new wire, I've seen a few shimano shifters with that issue, usually ones with old corroded wires, which I suspect your bike hasn't :-)

They sound like Judy 100's to me, circa 1999.

Had some on an Orange MsIsle, 99 as that's when XT went 9 speed IIRC.

Oh sorry metallic red, not those then.

That's just not true, a credit history is yours, not where you live, which is why if you apply for credit if you have lived at an address for less than 3 years you need to give your previous address.

It's sad to think there will be very few 'concorde' moments in the future.

It a demonstration of what man can do, everything now has to be commercially viable, with the exception of emerging economies like Asia and the middle east.

In theory we should be going twice as fast in our passenger planes 40 years on from when concorde first flew.

Mahjong, utterly addicted to it for months now, sadly I don't have a Ds myself so have to pinch the lads when he's asleep.

Fibre Flares on my bikes too, never had problem with water although I did put some tape around the ends.

Also great for a quick game of star wars :-)

some years ago I once worked for a well known retailer who sells alot of bikes and car parts, I was on a late shift but had a chronic hangover due to a whole weekend on the lash.

Anyhow at around 7 pm ish I decided to go for a lie down on some cardboard, next thing I know is I woke up and it was all dark. It was 10.30 and the store had shut and all the staff gone.

Thank goodness for fire exits :-)

The keyholder that day got blamed for leaving the door unsecure, I like a man decided to keep stum.

"I'm in need of a guy, I'm in need of a guy, I'm blue… etc"

All I would recommend is don't live in Trowbridge. It's full of pyjama wearing chavs.

As above I occasionally go out with the black cannons on their night rides, although there are some serious riders there, some of those freeride rad doods are seriously fit!

I'll happily meet up for a ride when get to these parts.

The team strip this year has changed, with much regret. I wanted to carry on with the orange strip but unfortunately outside distractions permit me from doing so people ripped the pi$$ out of me too much

Sounds like the bullplop my sister had, first up make sure you appeal against the decision, secondly there is now a system adopted by most councils that allows for regional variation in rental amounts.

However my sister had issues simply because the clerk processing her application entered amounts weekly that should have been monthly, took 2 months to sort out.

For pro advice though you need Steve Austin who posts here, gave me some excellent advice some time ago (thankyou SA) and I believe works for Citizens Advice.

The model to go for is the Sovereign, the cheaper classic has too high a gear range dispite a 20T rear cog. I've tried fitting a 22T but fouls the full chainguard.

Weight wise you are looking at approx 48lbs, although you really only notice that uphill, once going they motor along nicely, if speed isn't the issue then it really won't matter.

The rear carrier is made by Pletscher, you can fit a child carrier in seconds to it without tools, Pashley can supply these for you. As well baskets, bags tec.

If you need anymore info just mail me as I'm a main dealer for Pashley.

Shimano TLFC10 are by far the best, lasted up to 6 years in the workshop. Trouble is they have been replaced by TLFC11, last set only lasted 8 months before they were fraying wires.

If anybody has some new TLFC10s lying around I'll have 'em.

No, the reason the banks want to get rid of them is cost.

Not the cost of processing the cheques though. Banks would all like us to use our debit/credit cards as that generates far more money for them.
The bank made in excess of £3000 from our business this year alone in fees from the credit card terminal. Let alone the rental charge or paying for a dedicated phone line.

Well I've just got back from Sainsbury's, just got my lad some kids binoculars, about £12. Not too crap either, 8×30. He spent most of the summer looking through mine.

Not very suitable for a girl though.

Sounds like you are doing it all wrong to me.

First off remove pads and make sure pistons are fully retracted.

If you are bleeding Shimano brakes correctly there is no need to even touch or squeeze the lever.

All you need to do is attach the bottle to the bleed nipple on the caliper and push the fluid UP. Keep doing this until 30 ml has gone through the system, replace reservoir cover and you should be finished.

Horseshite without a doubt. However you try getting them to believe you don't have a TV in the 21st century is another thing. It's like a 6 year old drawing, it just more and more red lettering and more LARGE CAPS every time they send you a letter.

Should have mentioned to mail 'em, they are always more than happy to show people around the trails. A certain suspension tuning god frequents the place often, he's chuffing quick too :!:

Loads of riding to be had, within a stones throw of CP.

However, DO NOT ride on the black cannon collective runs, they are for BCC members only, it is private property remember, there's been too much grief there previously and the BCC would like to keep access as there has been alot of hard work there on the trails.

Oh and he's right about a good lock, make sure you lock it up everywhere.
