Could be as simple as the BB is knackered.

Ah I see now, yes if the drive side cone isn't tight against the locknut then it will undo as you ride.

    Cup and cone type?

If so you need to wip out the axle to lock the driveside cone and locknut together first. You can't adjust it in the wheel as of course the freehub body stops you getting a cone spanner on the cone. So adjust from the non drive side.

I'd recommend WeThePeople, bikes are kiler this year, although out of stock in most places, Sabrosa would be my choice as they are a bit more niche.

What Tron said, I have a riding buddy who worked in the Niger Delta for 18 months. Corruption is rife, the oil companies are forced to pay locals for work/contracts which never gets done. They can't send their own people as kidnappings happen daily, my mate had 2 armed guards just to get from the airport. The locals resent the oil companies and it's a never ending cycle.

I have to say this week has been classic STW, the Badger however was easily the funniest thread of eva.

Didn't oneeyedwilly look like David Essex IIRC?

Are there any Badger pics with the 747 still floating around on anyones hard drives?

edie; oh yeah it was Leo Sayer, whatever happened to 'chasealex'? Did he ever grow into that 661 kit?

As said above, forget 'fronting', it gives the insurance company the perfect excuse not to pay out.

16-24 year olds are 10 times more likely to have an accident than a 35 year old, it's going to cost regardless.

Even my insurance has just increased this year dispite having 6 years no claims now.

    The vehicle should be licensed

If the number plate you are selling is on a vehicle, then the vehicle should be taxed. The DVLA will still consider your application if the donor vehicle is not licensed, provided the license expired less than 12 months ago, and was declared as SORN straightaway. If you applied for a tax refund, however, then you cannot sell the number plate.

    The vehicle should be MOT’d

If the number plate you are selling is on a vehicle, then the vehicle should have an MOT. The DVLA may decide to inspect your vehicle, so expect to be asked to produce it at the nearest DVLA office.

You will not need an MOT if your vehicle is not old enough to be tested.

So yes, and you won't be able to cash in the tax either.

T'was a fact a few years ago when I tried to sell one on, just sold the car with it in the end.

A car has to have a MOT and current tax to sell the plate on though.

No VED stays the same, check for holes in dash, excess wiring in dash/fusebox, even small clues like remains of sticky backing for licence plates. However the biggest issue is often clocking. Most Taxis are well maintained, round these parts they get checked twice a year MOT style by our LA. Even damaged body panels are now regarded as a fail.

Still unconvinced testing times will give an indication of who's fastest. Most people seem to be overlooking fuel consumption, Ferrari is widely regarded to have the thirstiest car on the grid, having to put 10 more kilos in at the start could take 0.5 secs of a lap alone.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a number of cars this year run out of fuel.

Yep that definately comes off from the the NON driveside. 11 or 12mm usually, and very tight. Sometimes takes 2 people with an allen key in the vice. If you need a spare freehub, halo wheels usually use the same although there are a few variations on those freehubs, usually around 8! You can thank Mr Quando for that.

So is it or isn't it for sale? The ad says POSS FS.

    Perhaps I should ask him…

Yep, I only use KMC chains as they haven't failed on me once. Cheaper than others too for same spec, I've got X9 SL on all my bikes.

The chainrings will last far longer than XT that's for sure but then it costs more, but not as much as XTR.

    ziggy

Yes black or silver to start with and coloured spiders. No idea if they are better than XT, but I'll put them on the scales to start with and see what that comes up with.

    ziggy

Yep like those, has removable spider like the current cranks, left hand crank bonded to axle, adjustable bearing tension like XTR 970, and compatible with HT2 BBs.

    £200 with chainrings.

Also worth bearing in mind that race face cranks need a fair old bit of force to remove, the recommended tightening force is 50nm!

I was about to ask the weight, can't find it anywhere but doubt it's easton carbon league.

Seems a good price to me, don't remember spending less than a ton on a seatpost for the last few years.
