You really do need to bring your bike though there's some ace woods for riding. Plenty of space to park, it's nowhere near a built up area.

Can you not meet up outside before hand?

They seem to have some power crazed individuals on the gates now, even tried charging my mate who drives a taxi who was picking up customers!

Oh yeah thinking about it that's a semi integrated headset, just the lower plastic seal, that sits on top of the crown race, pretty sure there should be a smaller gap than that.

It's not the end of the world but your bearings my turn orange very quickly.

Looks like ther ecould be a plastic seal missing to me, also the cups and/or crown race are on the piss to my eyes.

Well I can guarantee that amber wall tyres are indeed coming back, I saw some shiny 2011 bikes today and they were all sporting them.

Other predictions include more real leather parts and alot more neon coloured parts.

Super skinny steel tubes will be back too.

As above new SLX and XT 10 speed will be available in 11-36, should be in the shops for about mid July if you can wait that long. £49.99 for SLX and £59.99 for XT, probably cheaper from the mail order boys.

edit; oh balls you wanted 9 speed , sorry.

No they mean your car licence, which you haven't had for a day yet.

However it was the same for me years ago, they took into account some of my no claims from my bike and reduced the premium.

Not sure this will help but I had the same problem with some Menja forks and a Diatech headset, the bottom cup was just a touch to small so the steerer tube would rub against it when fully preloaded. I took a dremel to the lower cup in the end. Not something I would recommend doing though.
New headset should sort that out.

Very nice, I would suggest a bit more length on the rear brake hose though, needs to curve away from the top tube abit, that braided hose will eat the carbon.

I quite liked that, made me want to go out and ride now.

Not riding uphill is a bit gay though.

It's only shiny new hubs you can pull of with your hands.

Either gently tap the axle from the non drive side or screw the lockring back on without the cassette and tap that to avoid damaging the soft alloy freehub body.

I have to disagree with eject on remote controls, it provides hours of endless fun if you have cats.

I'm sorry but for a start his trousers are where they should be, around his waist, not hanging from his arse. Furthermore wheel relfectors,hi vis vest, mitts and an MTB helmet, on a BMX?

    In summary, FAIL.

Yeah you need to be careful of those disabled people in wheelchairs, it's just a front to cover for shoplifting, that's why they have blankets over their legs to hide the stash

Most computers can hold 2 wheel sizes now, just need to buy an extra fitting kit.

…smash my boss around the face with the BB facing tool, repeatedly, until his face could not be seen for blood.

Oh and openly mock some of my customers with a loudhailer in their ear.

"Is that for a one legged man?" WTF?

I wouldn't buy one for the simple reason the residual value on trade in will be horrific.

Yep, my son had an ace day, they came into town to watch the St.Georges' day parade and did lots of flag waving. they also had themed dress and my lad was a knight, along with the all the other boys in the class, no dragons to be slayed though.

Having said that the school is named St.Georges so they always make the most of it every year.

920 gram wheels? Each I presume.

What's wrong with carbon? Been on my bike for years now no issues, just make sure you buy good carbon, Easton or similar quality.

Like the black stealth look though.

Weirdly only the ones who get smelly wee from asparagus can smell it, whereas the ones that don't, can't.

    I that makes sense…

Yes they do, same as Deore 525. Shimano hoses work fine too, worth buying the original pads though, they seem to last aggeesss.

You're on your own with that one

I once tried to bring this up with an ex partner, fortunately she left me before I could ask, saved me alot of bother (and cash)

The average inflation rate maybe very low but that's very different to individual item and personal inflation rates. Essentials in life such as fuel, food and services and taxes are increasing more than luxury item or non essential consumer goods so it has more of an effect on your disposable income.

I had a drunk man fall onto my car from some scaffolding last year, dispite having a broken arm and being unable to move from my car and having witnesses he still relentlessly denies it was him. He was also taken away in an ambulance.

As an LBS mechanic I would say it depends on how impatient the customer is to the OPs original question

In reality it depends on the manufacturer tbh, if it's a Pashley it would take minutes, if it's a Universal, weeks.

Torque wrench only really comes out for higher end builds or any carbon in reality.

For once I can also agree with TJ, an experienced mechanic does develop feel without doubt.

Suggesting you need your brake levers being as loose as possible is plain daft.

Well I've just been quoted 'possibly days' by someone at BA I've just spoke to, my boss is stuck as well, and I wanted the weekend off.
Depends on which way the wind blows and further eruptions.

Yep that's where you're going wrong then. You need to bleed UP only, push fluid up to the reservoir in the lever.

I'd have the BB threads looked at first, or even try another BB, loctite in BB threads is a really bad idea.

Whilst that is a good thought Hora we tried to donate/offload some old bikes we had kicking around to a local charity. We were obviously going to service them and make sure they were safe.

Sadly that wasn't enough for the charity, they wanted an assessment and meeting. Precious time I could do without losing.

They suggested it would be better all round if we gave them some new bikes. WTF?

Coffee, since it became trendy to drink, £2.80 for a cup I paid the other day, I'm sorry but that's how much for a few coffee beans and some hot water?

Tea seems to be getting expensive now in line with coffee, £1.50 now at reeves!

Cake on the other hand is worth every penny
