As long as the treads match you can run it. Make sure when the lowers are off that the damper shaft is longer than the air shaft when both are fully extended and you’ll have no trouble at all. Nothings going to foul anything.

Plus one for Hunts. Got 2 sets mtb and gravel and Ive ragged them over all sorts that they’re not designed for and I’m 200lbs.
Great customer service and fast delivery. For he price for what you get I think they’re an absolute bargain.

There shouldn’t be any damage. The shock will need a rebuild as it has lost oil from inside the damper body and probably some ifp pressure and the knock you are experiencing is the piston inside the damper body meeting the oil when compressed. The piston should be totally immersed in oil but in this case when fully extended there is an air gap and when you sit on the bike and the piston travels down wards inside the damper body it travels freely until it meets the oil this Is the clunk.

As some one else said there are two size Reba seals. If they are that hard to get in they’re the wrong size.

The internals if the RCs aren’t much to write home about, super old technology used is rockshox forks for years and are hit or miss. Save all the messing about and head scratching taking it to people with basic knowledge. Get a debonair air shaft fitted. Will make a work of difference.

Looks to me like she’s either still got feelings for you or she wouldn’t be trying to hurt you with the new man bullshit. Looking for some kind of reaction which you’re not giving as you feel jack for her.

If she felt nothing she’d be more amicable and civil.

Either that or she’s a repugnant vile horror of a human being and you should start to grow a pair and match her attitude with a worse one all the while staying with in the law and make things so unbearable that she has no option but to move out into big cars joint. Leaving you in peace.

I feel sorry for you buddy.

Watch War of the Roses for some pointers.

    Best of luck.

Should be ok as long as the charger 2 is long enough or longer than the air shaft of the forks u are putting it in to. Also the bore diameter and threads will have to be same.

The rc’s will have the oil loose inside the leg of the fork though with a separate compression and rebound damper. The charger is obvs 1 piece.

Also if there’s no internal notch on the bottom of the stanchion of the forks currently with the charger damper you won’t be able to convert it to RC. As the notch is needed for a circlip to hold the rebound in place.

It’s a couple of stone chips to the paint ffs. Tell them to get an opinion from the manufacturer and see what they say. They will know what tests to carry out to show whether it’s safe or not.

Looks like nothing to me and you are being scammed.

What ever happens if you do end up paying make sure you get the paint chipped frame and tell them not to bin it or it will end up as a free frame for some one who works there.

Yeah but it’s with Vodafone the most incompetent dodgy company I’ve ever dealt with and the customer service agents take a retardation test to get the job. I wouldn’t go with Vodafone if everything was free.

Add to that the pixel 3 has so many bugs it makes using the phone a nightmare I absolutely despise mine it’s a piece of crap that should never have been released like it is. Google are changing mine for a new one as this one I got in December is a nightmare to use.

Just a heads up to every one here dont know if its been brought up yet. CRC have a sale on at the moment and 2016 Mavic Crossmax SL Pro Ltd lefty front and rear in yellow and black are on sale for £305 the pair shipped they also give you a £10 voucher (automatically taken off in the basket for orders over £75) so thats a further tenner off. If you order each wheel separately then you get the tenner off twice. They have them in black stealth also but the rear is out of stock until February 7th :(. These wheels are about £800 RRP and ive seen them for a grand some places so this is a super bargain. Mine arrive for my Jekyll in the morning. I got these as the standard Crossroc are a bit shit and for £300 they are practically giving them away.

I think there is a massive difference.

I always run Easton bars. EA70, then Haven. For many years. Then when CRC had a sale on the carbon Havens, I got them and the difference, I feel is night and day. The carbon ones are far stiffer and the front end feels a lot harsher than it did. I am seriously thinking of switching back to either Havens again or I might try a set of Renthal Fat Bar Lights.

I used to love Amazon, well the low prices any way. Their site is not the best though. I got a 2016 184 x 44 Rockshox Monarch RT3 the other day for £90.

But like I said I used to love it until one day I had an email with no address and no return address asking me if I was happy with Amazon and what the reason was for returning the things I had returned in the previous months. They dont tell you the department they are from or give a name.

I was informed my account was “still open and available for use” and that no action would be taken this time and they hoped I would enjoy using Amazon in the future.

I have had an account for over 15 year and have spent thousands of pounds there. I replied quite angrily and asked what they are on about I can still use my account. They informed me I have been returning too many items.

I checked my account and out of over 150 purchases through the year I returned 7 things and 4 of those were because they sent me the wrong thing or was damaged on receipt.

Needless to say I was disgruntled and have hardly used them since, well no where near as much as I have in the past.

I looked into it and they can close your account at any time if they think you are returning too many items and stop you and every one else in your house hold from ever opening an Amazon account again. There are loads of people it has happened too.

If you have any carpenter friends do as theotherjonv said but have them to write a bill for the full £3000 for the work and then show the other company that the cost of correcting the snags was £3000. Pay the carpenter the normal price and keep the rest. Sorted

@failedengineer, Im 42 and have been mountain biking since I was 17 and have tried many many different lubes and your right 99% do attract shite.

I tried purple extreme many years ago and have never used any thing else it is amazing. Clean the chain thoroughly, put a single drop on each link and leave to dry over night. I put a squirt on a tooth brush and scrub the cassette and outer part of the chain too. Then wipe off and leave it over night.

Next day its like theres nothing on the chain but it works like it is oiled it is unbelievable. Give it a go you wont be disappointed.

The stuff that comes on a new chain is to stop corrosion in storage and thats all. I am sure KMC say to remove the stuff on the chain before use.

You ain’t wrong there. I hate having to pull my phone out every time I want to see what time it is. But I only own a G shock Frogman now (I used to collect watches and got rid of all but 1)and it’s so big it gets on my nerves.

Could just need adjusting, you will only know when you take the lowers off. Check yourself and if they look really worn then they will need replacing. Being as lose as you say its possible you may have stanchion wear below the seals.

Wd40 and fairy washing up liquid. Spray the wd40 all over give it a scrub spray some more let it soak then wash down with diluted warm fairy water. Cheap as chips and works a treat and doesn’t destroy the paint

If they are going to all the trouble of coming over 2000 miles via plane then they can change their currency to UK Pounds and pay for the bike that way.

I just ant to sell the bike with zero hassle and with out having to check identification and not knowing if it is legit and then getting a signed receipt that can mean nothing. Scammers have been known to give false details you know.

And any way It is UK ONLY auction.

I enjoyed that. Good to have a bit of insight into what goes on in making the stuff we buy.

I just can not see the feasibility of buying a bike from the UK and paying to ship the bike over with them on their return. The bike is going to cost them over a grand, then return plane ticket and paying to ship the bike and possible import taxes if they pay any.

I realise they might not have the same options for bike buying as us over here but surely there are closer more convenient options.

All that plus the fact I already had some one from Israel trying to buy the bike a couple days earlier and I have only advertised it for the UK sets off alarm bells to me.

Would it not be cheaper to pay for the bike to be shipped to Israel?

    I think so.

Bongohoohaa, my listing is only for UK residents and has no shipping option for any where else in the world. That is usually more than sufficient to not get bids from any where else in the world.

Nuke, I hope you are joking, who goes to all the fuss of traveling over 2000 miles to pick a bike up and then travel back with it and pay for the bike to go back with them. Surely you can see its a scam if you cant please dont ever open an Ebay account.

Paying for the bike at the end of the auction and then collecting the bike is a known Ebay scam where they then say they did not receive the bike and claim their money back.

Purple Extreme is the best lube in existence. Put it on let it dry over night it doesn’t even look like you have chain lube on the chain. Chain works brilliantly it like magic. All conditions wet or dry. I’m sure I read years back it was developed from the same stuff or is the same stuff they use for chains used in under sea drilling.

Dezb. That is amazing, fantastic track. As is subterranean homesick blues, Like a Rolling Stone to name a couple more.

“But every bike needs to be thoroughly check”.

Well if all bikes are thoroughly checked then the chain check should (IMO) be included as its an integral part of a bike running smoothly.

Gears can appear to be running smoothly on the stand but then getting a bike back and running it in real world conditions can show problems, like slipping or jumping when pedal pressure is applied rather than turning a crank by hand.

A chain check can reveal this before handing it back to the customer and then them having to return it due to said problems.
