I liked the lack of background music. Just hit after hit

Good on them. I’m a casual footy fan at best. Enjoyed the Euros but the Qatar WC holds no interest to me because it just stinks.

I thought this thread was about a stolen Heckler that had been retrieved..

I had some Middleburn cranks from the OP. RS3 or RS7s. The drive side one snapped clean in half about 2 or 3 inches down from the pedal. Genuine JRA: I was pulling away from the lights on my commute.
They wouldn’t warranty them. I never bought anything from them ever again.

The Darwin fish ones make me smile.
Used to see a 50 year old fella in a clapped out 3 series saloon, various boy racer accessories with ‘nuff respect to the max’ in large letters across the bottom of both doors.

Timely thread. Got some tiles to put up on plasterboard around a sink/back of the bath. Primer it is then.

I had my Raleigh Mag Burner stolen at knifepoint when I was sat on it. That was nice, aged 11.

On the flip side I spotted a mates bike that was pinched from his house. It was outside the mosque 50m from my house. The police weren’t interested and I plucked up the courage and nicked it back.
They’d put purple bear trap pedals and bar ends on it (early 99s obvs)

2/11 Nearly all guess work. I do have some Maxxis DHR in the shed so that doubled my score!

I redid mine over Easter (not exactly finished but functioning!).
I went for some panels to save time and I couldn’t face too much tiling. Tongue and groove type fitting so not much in the way of a visible join, bar the internal bend. Pretty happy with my decision.
It was previously all tiled and the plaster was all completely wrecked. I ended up taking all four walls back to brickwork and starting again. It’s been hard work.
    What was the question again😂

Reading with interest. A friend and family are staying at Cloud Farm Campsite near Lynton which looks awesome. But I don’t drive so it might be a bit isolated for me and the boy(6)

Used my Morph earlier today. Atleast 15 years old. Starting to get a bit tired but would buy another.
Joe Blow has also been solid at home but maybe due some new internals or a rebuild now.

Great watch that. Some great skills on display as always. I didn’t have an issue with the feed but only remembered it was on after the men had started.

They then started talking about sending a courier to my house. Despite the pics showing a commercial unit and cash on collection.

I’m selling a large wheelie bin from work. Clean, dry, hardly used. Pics in the ad show this.
I got the following message last night ‘What is the condition? Can you tell me more about it? How long have you used it?’
    It’s a bin, you’ve got pictures, I can’t tell you it’s life story FFS!

Hmm, my dad who is 77 and had a heart attack in December is planning to drive from Brighton to Hull tomorrow. On a jolly of sorts so not essential.

I’m trying to persuade him not too..

My friend had 4 bikes nicked in a burglary some years ago. I managed to recover two of them, some six or so years apart!
One was being ridden through the local main line railway station. Scrote was trying to blag it through the barriers, kicked off and got arrested instead of just legging it.
The second one (an old Pace RC300) I spotted locked up outside the same station) and we cut the lock and rescued it.
A third was located by another riding buddy and went through the proper channels (police) but the bike wasn’t returned :(
Keep the faith, they can turn up.

There’s a Black Boy pub near Reading that was renamed last year.
It’s near the ‘Black Boy Roundabout’ which seems pretty notorious for accidents- maybe drivers are distracted by the name ‘Black Boy Roundabout- the what?!’- crash!!!

Lack of maintenance leading to chain slipping on a cassette is pretty wince inducing.

Also sidewall of heavily worn rim popping off and simultaneous ‘bang’ from resultant puncture. Down a hill. In traffic. Luckily the rear but a touch nervy.

My commuter bike deserves more love..

Not read all of the above but my ex did some fairly exhaustive research into these. From what I remember the baby Bjorn types weren’t well regarded for babies hips. The big frame things seemed big and heavy. A simple cloth sling is very effective for the very young. We then got something from https://www.buzzidil.com/gb/cms/7-babycarrier-guide which was German I think. Cloth, very adjustable and comfy. Used for town trips, festivals but also Lakes hikes and one all day effort up and down in the alps. Worked perfectly with a three year old strapped in and no complaints. Could be worn front or back. Had a flap to cover/secure the head and keep the sun off. Now I think about it a really well thought out bit of kit that helped make some happy memories. Even got a pic of the alps trek in the dining room and I’m wearing the old STW whisky themed jersey!

If your new fangled TT already has a built in phono pre-amp just plug it in another spare input (aux, tuner etc)

As for the OP, as it’s a gift for your son whatever’s new, got a decent review in budget I’d say. Though the ‘sensible’ option is cheap 2nd hand older one.

Actually a 14″ but quite small. Good seatpost design (low). Frame will ‘grow’ with the child. Lightweight, nice bit of kit. I got the Skog model and my son is going well on it

I rushed out and bought a pedal bike (from Go Outdoors) for when he turned 3 after balance bike stage. He just was’nt ready to pedal until nearly 4 years old. After a little spin round the local estate it just clicked. The following day he did 2.5miles each way to his grandmas!

I went for one of these and pretty happy with it though gone up since I bought last year. It can change in size a bit as they grow. Can also be used as a balance bike at first!

I installed electric mat from Selco in a small kitchen/laundry/bathroom area. 6mm insulated boards on the slab, tiles on top. Its a fairly chilly extension so not the main heat source- bathroom radiator does that. Providing some extra ‘cosiness’ to the tiles was well worth it for me.

I saw an old Pace locked up outside the local station once.
I also recognised it as belonging to a mate who had been burgled about 5 years previously!
Bike and original owner were reunited
