    Depends on decent boss.

I kept my company car for 6months! £3K and enough stationary to put WH Smith out of business and my area manager let me go next day to start my new job!

That was a while back and would expect sorry but you have a week to clear off nowadays.

At Uni now so living on peanuts sucks!

Well for me I just used an old frame lying in the shed!

Onone, Genesis and Surly do some nice Singhle Speed frames

I’m building the SS due to bad weather and a spare frame lying around.

Just like being creative with junk and having fun.

USed carbon forks years ago and haven’t ridden SS yet well since my BMX and I could climb hills on that-ok it will be tougher for a while!

If it doesn’t work out then I’ll stick gears, bouncy fork on the frame and give to my old man play with.

My last day at my old job and this cute little blonde tells me for $1million she’d eat my $h*t and walk around naked in my house for life and have $ex etc anytime I want.

Personally I thought that was gross and low of her and bit gross.

I still did the lotto on the way home for the latter part of the deal…

Hora I’m going to win the lotto today whats your number? I’ll make millions selling the Blue ray!

It was designed to help women who want familes but it backfired on them as they can’t get work due to this scheme.

Works both ways but mainly for employer unless the woman is an outstanding employee then you would try to keep them but with todays market everyone is replaceable!

    Sorry ladies.= no offence.

I read somewhere that lower fork will make it sharper-try using a longer stem if you want to slow the twitchyness a bit.

So is buying a Ferrari but I still want one!

My HT is full xtr and my road 105 and my hack-just deore. They have their uses and everyones budget is different.

I stopped buying XTR for my DH bike as I kept smashing it up -waste? yep.
My xc bike I can stay with XTR -less rocks (as I want quality and weight)
    -weenie use.

    Hey it’s their country…

Besides they are probably saying the same about the UK on a lot of things.

At least they don’t have racial hatred parties.

    Oh they do. Dam!

So how many people have actually used Evans then?
Did you get a good service?

My old man got his bike back from a full serivice which they didn’t do and gave bike back!

They didn’t beat Halfords when a customer fell off bike due to pedal not tightened!

I’d rather do something myself for this country instead of moaning.

Riser bars-comfort, easy riding easy on the body?

    Flat-fast sporty steering.

I ride hard and fast (as I can tortoisely can) but use risers.

If I was racing xc sponsership deal I’d be riding flat.

Try something new? see how you get on and go from there.

Should have rang your bell back at her!

Like pk-ripper said: “we’re all uncourteous idiots.

just because we’re on bikes doesn’t make us friends”

Same when driving etc. (Some us do say thanks-I bloody do!) but remember there is a reason for everyones rubbish behaviour and no excuse (She had a bad day but so what).

Instead of dwelling on what reason-ignore it and use the time you’d think of it by riding and enjoying yourself! ignore the dosuche bag :D

If you couldn’t see it in bad weather then it is a hazard.

I know it’s council funds but if it was me I’d me claiming damages to my bike.

If it was a motorcyclist they would sue too.

If it was bike damage then a repair should be paid for.

Anyone saying no, ok you’re Mum or Dad came off their bike in bad weather due to hole being filled in by rain-maybe they should look where they are going? -yeah the same swearing back at you.

It’s easy to judge when we don’t know the full facts and it hasn’t happened to us.

If you can afford the fix do it yourself or ask bike compensation repair.

Feel sorry for you sexpest being knocked out etc but being cut open from your clothing by the medics and your username then I think you secretly enjoyed the groping by the female medics and the polaroids taken…

It may be an anti-depressant but doesn’t mean it is used for it.

Can be used for constipation and diarrhea too by acting on the colon.
    (I have diagrams!)

Anyway – Hope you get better GJP :-).

Sorry aracer I should have said if doing strange things on a bike but there have been incidents where they have snapped even on a road bike bars or even the frame fracturing.

I’ve used my raceface ones for a while and the best thing was me to lose weight and stop my seatpost creaking!

The Earth was hotter -measured the CO2 content in polar caps is proportional to the temp and the CO2 concentration was much higher.

We could mimic the conditions and raise temps etc.

    We could argue all day…

One thing I personally learned is that we should look after our planet and each other anyway regardless if global warming exists.

    Bloody cold and wet though.

Forgot about the standing up bobbing.

Hmm rigid P2 or suspension…dam! had my sights on a rigid and now thinking of 100mm forks.

I wanted a tank for off road or road-slicks and knobblies SS as a toy or backup for xc or commutes.

I wanted to go disc too. I know suss would ride well but defeats the idea of maintance.

I’ll go with rigid steel till summer…might teach me how to pick some good lines.

Thanks for the info peeps appreciated-things I would not have considered.

Why don’t you learn how to ride or buy some decent forks.

    Joking :D

My Rebas didn’t feel right, stiff so cornering was fine but bumpy or rocky roots etc and I was riding a horse wihtout a saddle!

My LBS didn’t believe me until 8 months later when I gave them a recording of the sounds it made when I called them when riding!

They only sent them back and I got new froks from rockshox.

Check pressure, setup, as above right way round but suspect you know already and bounce them.

Take to lBS and ask them to ride or test it? send away!

Carbon will crack or snap at anytime.

Best to enjoy the ride or buy a tougher bar like steel or alum which will bend first…

If they say 5yr warranty then they’ll think it will last or put enough into their pricing to give you another and also argue it wasn’t their fault but your drop offs as you rode to Tesco through the forest excuse.

They also give you a nice warranty to give good marketing and sell more.

Limited can mean anything they say!

Most shops who repaint stuff like bikes or cars etc.

‘Argos racing cycles’ did my old Zaskar in ferrari red with custom white lettering for zaskar and easton made in usa etc.

They used some other firm who uses laser edging so it was about £20 in ’07.

Did the carbon route 8yrs ago with rc31 on a easton zaskar!

Now on credit crunch+old frame lying around and fed up of creaking carbon flexi forks-probably me riding through a trail instead of picking a line…

    Thanks for the info!

    Frame is harsh alu too…
