thanks, yep I've had a look there, the info on the strip down of the forks isn't in the manual, everything else is though.

that's quite a useful range, Shimano cranks are 12-15nm (except XTR) thomson stems etc tend to be around 5Nm and for the money it ain't bad. for smaller bolts I just use and allen key very carefully :)

I sold one back to the original owner, it was just too small for me as much as I loved it I knew the right thing to do was sell it back.

6805 2rs bearing have a 25mm internal diameter, these work in Shimano BB's as a replacement as there's a plastic shim that reduces the diameter to 24mm. The hope bearings don't have this shim and the internal diameter of the bearing is 24mm. The Enduro bearing's as sold by BETD might do the job though.

non ust NN without a tube will feel a bit squirmy compared to a ust version due the thinner sidewalls.

Hmm, smells highly, going to have to strip things right down. Can't remember the weight of the bikes think I'd better check this weekend. Liking the idea of a cardboard box instead of the bike bag that I used last year

Currently using 2.25 nobby nics evo's running tubless, anything less than 30 psi they feel a bit squirmy and roll on the rim a bit too much. The NN's have got very thin sidewalls though. I've got 2.1 UST versions on my other rims and they feel fine.

Just fancy trying some Maxxis tyres, Ignitor, Advantage or High Rollers

seen one of these in the flesh unfortunately the guy had ruined a completely good bike by modifying it, granted he had a bad back so need ed teh riser stem, 18 layers of handlebar tape etc.. The basic bike looked really nice

place a bolt in the end of the axle to protect it when drifting it out, it stops you mushrooming the axle end.

Just got the hub back, rebuilt in new shell and fully serviced, can't argue with that for service.

Wheel's were checked with Park Tensionmeter when built and were spot on, nice even tension on all spokes and slap bang in the middle of the specified range, so don't think it's an over-tensioning problem

Just spoken to Mark at Evolution, he said to send the whole hub back, fingers crossed, I'll post the results up here.

Yep the roads have been a tad salty of late, the bike is rinsed down after each ride so the salt should've all been washed off. I've had hope hubs go and they were replaced even though I'd had teh hub 8 years.
