Our best local technical rider( and he is very ,very good) doesn't fanny about dropping and raising his saddle(in this country),but if folk want to to do it,carry on.

Samuri can read my mind. Have no axe to grind with German car drivers,or flabby types with 4 grand bikes,or Llandegla.I've enjoyed every visit.
The first time I went to Penmachno,I had a lift in a…………… Q7.

Llandegla is fun.Not difficult, that's why it's so popular and so many smash themselves up.
Another vote for Penmachno. Got a natural feel to it and the Audi boys won't drive past Llandegla to get to it. Bliss!

Bloody hell, you lot of got a funny idea of what goth is. Goth is code for shite!
    Foetus/Clint Ruin-not goth
    Killing Joke -ditto
Proper goth – Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy,Fields of Nephilim and the rest of the sad chancers that sprang up. A truly abysmal genre of music.
Oh,and the Virgin Prunes weren't goth either…..or Siouxsie and the Banshees.

I've got a P7 and I'm very happy with it,but how do Orange and Cotic justify the price of Taiwanese, steel hard tail frames??
The only problem I've had with my P7 .is the seat post slipping, despite it being a 2010 model and not requiring a shim.

My Mrs works at a High School. I don't know what the initials stand for.but she specialises in Maths and dealing with the bad 'uns. She loves it.

In another life time,I was a keen enduro/trail rider and also used the bikes for commuting.
XR 250 4stroke,great trail bike, reasonable commuter(the tyres are grippy, they just squirm a bit). It was ok in enduros…until I stalled it,a devil to start when hot. (no electric start)Apparently there's a knack, which I never had.
I then moved to KDX 200s,dead reliable, dead rideable and no noisier than a 4 stroke. I had my second one for four years, had some great results in tough Welsh Enduros. Never let me down once,no piston/piston ring change. But I did maitain well……and I sold it for £100 less than I bought it for 4 years previous. The bast bike I ever owned( and I had a few too many)
Not convinced with the integrity of KTMs all my mates switched to them, lovely to ride, but loads of random failures, including bottom end woes!!

It's perceived quality. There are better built motors than VAG motors and usually cheaper. Don't be a badge snob,it's a fool's game.

Can't believe that these duds are still going.A lad that I used to hang around with ,had some NMA socks….he wore them with no hint of irony!!

We've had three wet summers on the bounce….so only the temps are different.
Been to the Peaks today and it was proper grim, still enjoyed it though.

Never jet wash. Always clean after a ride, day ,or night. I'm not rich enough to have 3 grands worth of bike festering in the garage/and/or not working properly on the next ride.
Never ceases to amaze me,when half-wits drop their shitted -up bikes in at LBS complaining that it's not shifting as smoothly as it should….
    I rarely clean my car.

Just got back from a "damp" ride in the Peaks. Despite the grim weather seven of us went out to celebrate my birthday. Retired to The Crag for a pint and a warm by the fire. Life's great.

I'm not into fannying around on bikes(no ability),but there's something about that bike that appeals.
Will try one when there's a demo night.

It's been a long time since VAG made the best cars, lots of choice out there. Ditch the brand loyalty and try a few. I like the hot Renaults,Minis are great(popular for good reason) and lots of Jap motors.

Don't own a tyre gauge. If I'm struggling for grip let some out.If it feels a bit squidgy, put some in. Works for me.

Anything really,I pprefer something with a bit of volume.Rode two days in the lakes last week with a Nevegal on the front and an Advantage on the back. No punctures and plenty of grip.

Tazzy ,you do live very near by,I live in Vegas. Hanchurch does get a bit damp and with the recent forestry work,it's going to be messy for a while.
We tend to ride Hem Heath,Barlaston Downs and Tittensor Chase in the wet conditions.

Tazzy, you appear to have a fair knowledge of S-o-T..the five towns are well past their best. Architecturally,Burslem is my favourite of the 5,although it is a bit "Farm Foods". Hanley is a disaster and can be very iffy,if you're not careful.
We don't suffer with gun and knife crime like cities just north ,south and east of us.
My favourite place to live within Stoke would have to be The Villas just off London Road. Minton built them for the Italian artists that he brought over to work for him. Truly beautiful houses at prices that would have southerners sobbing into their skinny lattes.
…and most importantly great riding on our door step. Hanchurch Woods is a ten minute ride from my house.

Ouch! I've broken/bruised ribs falling off bikes, motorbikes, playing football and falling down the stairs whilst drunk.
Just be patient and keep taking the painkillers. Physios recomend the towel exercise. I tried it,but can't honestly say if it speeds -up the recovery.

There's a few comments on here that are a bit "Brian Sewell". I saw youths fightin' and fornicatin' in the street……
I've lived in Stoke all my life, never been mugged, burgled, had my car nicked etc.. .It is proper grim in places, just like everywhere else.
