Edric made a good point, most folk on here ponce around in offices.I've worked outside for 32 years, some days the weather getsto me,but generally it's rarely THAT bad
Penmachno is a short enough trail to blast round before you get cold.
I treated myself to a pair many years ago. Still going strong, the only other shorts I have are Endura MT500s,not in the same league, not as comfortable, well ,made,or expensive.
I've been twice and I love the place. Will definitely visit again.Alexanderplatz,TV Tower,Soviet War memorial, the links with David Bowie,Lou Reed and Iggy Pop..
My mother's brother's lovers plumber had a parrot in the 80s,never slept, only ate cheese (cheddar) and whistled along to Living In a Box by Living In A Box.Ahhh them were the days..
Medusas front and rear all winter.Lots of control in the mud,a bit sketchy on everything else, but I got used to them.
Fitted an Advantage for the drier conditions….no fool, like an old fool.
Inmy experience Game keepers love killing stuff, poisoning Buzzards, trapping Weasels and Stoats etc…. more pheasants are killed by cars..but they can't shoot the drivers..
Zulu,I'm not tarring you with the same brush.
I can get "lost" in the smallest of our local woods and it is small, but it's all part of the fun. It's only when you're in the Lakes/Peaks/Scotland etc that getting lost can be a problem.
I enjoy trail centres, but I believe it has made "us" lazy.
48 here and loving life. I think as you get older, you appreciate everything so much more…food, beer(drink less, enjoy more),the bike and my family.
We are all getting closer to the old folk's home,so enjoy life.
I can't manual,or wheelie, but I can ride drop offs. The "how to" pages in the mags and the above sequence don't help me. I just try to ride a bit quicker and stay loose on the bike. Works for me.
I'm obsesses with bike set up,far more important than tyres(heresy on here),or even the type of bike you ride.
I'm fortunate to have a really good and helpful LBS that have set-up my bikes.Result;no back ache,or knee pains.
I'vegot one on the back of my bike,I run it tubeless.I'd had no problems until it burped on it's last outing. Never check tyre pressures, just give 'em a squeeze.
I was in Llangollen last Sunday and saw a 500 Pantah, brought back happy memories. Oneof the best bikes I owned…and I've owned a few..too many.
I like Ade's SRX
I had C2s for years, never let me down.
Mono Minis on the P7,more modern than C2s,but not as good.
Tech X2s on the 575 only had two outings, but so far,so good.
Blimey! Spoiled for choice. Betamax's oldies, Rob Arnold's Monty. The Kawasaki triple, any Moto Guzzi and finally the ER6….still think I made the right decision, not having another motorbike.
The BBC is going to the dogs. P!ss-poor journalism is rife. A piece on the closure of lighthouses a couple of days ago.If the sorry excuse for a reporter had said "iconic" one more time,I would have blown a gasket.
I've always been self-employed and getting a mortage has proved difficult in the past. When I asked for more money for an extension(more than the original mortage) they were virtually throwing money at me(want another 10 grand?) Things have changed, money is tighter, but there are people that specialise in helping the self-employed.
Can't stand Steve Wright, Jo whiley, possibly worse. Alan Green is a grade pr!ck….let's criticise the ref ,blah blah blah. John Humphries is beginning to annoy me…The list goes on.
Listen to Radio 4 more than owt else these days. It's me age.
