    I’ve got a 575 and I can’t say that I find the back end flexy…..but i’m 10 and a half stone.It does climb incredibly well,especially rooty ,technical stuff.
And for what it’s worth I think Orange 5 is in the same league.

We’re on our second Dyson. The first one was a grey and yellow pile of crap.Got a mate at the local tip that financed his holidays,by stripping and refurbing Dysons. Unbelievably Wife of Riley bought a Dyson Ball, which is even worse. Horrible ,flimsy thing that very quickly lost its’ initial cleaning power.
Surprised that there’s been no mention of Panasonic.

I’ve done a few of my own and a number in the LBS (earning my discount).i’ve only used Stans, some work straight away ,others take a while. my first Dread Tread took a while to settle, yet the second one stayed up on the first attempt.
Soapy water on the tyre bead helps. An air line is very helpful, but a track pump will suffice.
Another trick,is a steel bar in the bench vice at a 45 degree angle.Put the the wheel on that and give it a spin. This helps distribute the solution.
Going for a ride ASAP is the best way to get a good seal.

I’ve got kids, eldest is 17 on Friday. i’d like to stick around long enough to be a Grandad. I don’t want to end up in some piss-stinkin’ old folk’s home. What’s the point?

I ride on me own and with a group. Enjoy both. If things go tits-up when you’re riding alone, things can turn grim very quickly.

Can you get a 575 for that? I bought my frame s/hand and done a proper poverty-spec build.ie all the old stuff off the Stumpjuper that fits. A marvelous, flattering bike.
i do like the Orange 5,a very capable, robust bike.

I never bothered with any form of cream ,until I went through a phase of getting boils on my arse and thighs. Yes,I did seek medical advice, had blood tests etc…nothing showed up.
Anyway back to the topic. I started using Assos cream and I love that tingle. Also, although it’s probably coincidence, the boils haven’t returned.

I’ve seen a Picasso stuffed to the gunnels with bikes can’t remember if the front wheels were still on.or not. You can pick ’em up cheap aswell.

I’ve got one,it acts as an overflow from our main (wooden). No condensation problems, but it did blow over a couple of times, until I added sufficient ballast.

Germanic qualities,or perceived qualities? I have no brand loyalty. The Mondeo takes a lot of beating, economical diesels, decent to drive, relatively cheap parts.
The Honda Accord Tourer(estate) is a fine, cavernous, deadly reliable motor, but more expensive than Ford/vauxhalls.
Having said all that, you have to be unlucky to drop on a bad motor by any manufacturer these days.

Well, you’re in good company! It does hurt! i’ve done mine umpteen times, various motorbike accidents, football and a nasty beating outside a night club. I’m self-employed(window cleaner),so never had any time off.Lifting a ladder on and off the car made my eyes water!
Sleep is the key, strong pain killers and an A pillow ,do help. Still get twinges now..and I always give ’em a smack when I fall off me mountain bike.
    You have my sympathy.

House prices were and in some cases still artificially high. The last few years have been ridiculous. Short-sighted half-wits waffling on about how much there houses are worth ….and yours must have shot up in value since the extension… Don’t know and don’t care. It’s for my family to live in,not a get rich quick scheme.

How strange! Could be a bad batch of spokes,or poor wheel building.

I’m an ex-biker,but have many years riding experience under my belt and have a handful of mates that still ride. The Kawasaki ER6 seems to be the weapon of choice at the moment.Popular with novices and experienced riders alike.2 of my mates have recently bought ’em for track use…

Great advice from the folk above. Always worth checking Honest Johns’ website ,whatever car you’re after. Strangely all large MPVs seem to have reliability problems. Tough call.

Mine is on its’ second bike. When I bought it,the mechanic said that Hope after sale service is second to none. I’ve had no need to experience it,as I’ve had no problems in 5 years. I’m a light(ish) rider and I’m not into jumps etc,but I do ride in some crappy coditions. A fantastic product. I’ve also got their headset, which is a similar age and is on its’ second bike.Again,no problems.

I had my Omega for my 21st Birthday.I’m now 47 and despite a couple of motorbike accidents and falling down the stairs(not drunk and with a baby in my arms)it’s still going strong. I’ve got a Casio for when i’m mountain biking.
Post script,my Dad had his Omega for his 21st….still going strong,he’s now 74. Mine is a proper wind-up watch, none of this battery bollocks 😀

Pook,in fairness,I never watch F1. Motorbike racing is more to my taste, although Moto GP is going down the same slippery slope as F1, launch control, traction control etc, etc… World Superbikes and even more so Supersport are where the real action is,now.

i’ve never owned a hard tail and with age and a general lack of ability, probably never will. My 575 allows me to stay in some sort of contention with my younger and more skillful riding mates. Climbs well for not particuarly light bike.

My Gran used to say “never trust a man with a beard”. Despite that,I did experiment with facial hair in my twenties, much to my mates’ amusement. i’m a ginger aswell, although it’s got darker with age. So, “No” from me.
