Going slightly off topic, the ITV4 TT coverage has been superb.Knowledgeable commentators, excellent camera work and ofcourse breath taking riding.

Spuds v flats? A good rider on either will be quicker than a mediocre/poor rider on the opposite.
BTW,I’m very firmly in the mediocre category.

    Daddy,I’ve got a 575 medium(not for sale).I’m 5′ 10″,they are big bikes,I’d try before you by.
I’m impressed with mine, flatters my lack of ability. Orange 5s are fine bikes, also.

    Best-Honda S2000
Worst-Mk2 diesel golf, not only as slow and noisey as you’d expect, but the worst gear box I’ve used. Vague doesn’t do it justice.

I’ve got a standard Middleburn chainring on my XT crankset(middle ring). It’s performing well. When,or if the XT crankset ever dies,I would like to replace it with a Middleburn.

I’ve got tie-downs ,from when I used to transport my enduro bike(motorcycle)around the country. Squeezed a mattress in the wife’s old Brava, the other week. Visibility wasn’t great..

Quite like the basic Harleys.Obviously they’re not as good as Japanese,Triumphs,or even Italian bikes.
My mate had a Fatboy, many moons ago. We went to the Grand Prix at Donnington,me and the Mrs on a ZZR 600,following him.Almost fell off laughing.Nearly every bend resulted in a healthy shower of sparks……Didn’t stop him from passing loads of fools on the latest race replicas.

We didn’t take our kids on planes until they much older, for various reasons.
1)There’s no point in taking a baby abroad(they don’t appreciate it)
2)I wouldn’t inflict screaming kids on other people in a confined space.(for the record my kids were/are well-behaved)but babies cry.
3)Couldn’t be arsed carting baby paraphanalia(sp?) on a plane, through airports etc.
4)Even when they’re older, they’re not THAT bothered about going abroad. My daughter pesters to go back to Wales.
We’re all different, some parent/baby combos are fine, others are a nightmare.Older kids and their clueless parents are worse. On our most recent flight back from New York,a kid was kicking the back of my wife’s chair. The kid’s mother was sat next to him and said nowt!! My wife told the kid off and tore a strip off the useless mother.

    Fiesta for looks and driving.
Roomster, for almost being as practical as the Berlingo.
Polo for old women that haven’t yet wised-up to the Yaris,or Jazz
And the Berlingo for being all that you’ll need.

I demo’d a 5 the other week, sweet bike ,shite tyres. Conditions were poor and my Dread Treads struggled in the mud,as you’d expect, but on treacherous roots they were/are superb. Try some.

Rocket Dog the half-wits in the photos have a sense of humour ,rip it out of each other and themselves.
Just thought it was a bit odd blathering on about baggies and peaked helmets.

2 weeks for our old cat. She was fine, but she was much brighter than the two half-wits that arrived after her demise.

You buy the bike of your dreams, attempt to show supposed like-minded folk, you pride and joy…..All you get is arsey comments about your back yard and the poor colour choice of saddle and grips. The swines!
    Enjoy!

The lad with the leaking pen down his arm,is indestructable. If you see the lycra-clad,bar-end wielding ,short arse,on a climb…..throw down the gauntlet .You’d better be good 8)

Have a lokk on Honest John’s website. He gives a model by model breakdown. Most modern motors are sound, but VW do have their share of problems and parts aren’t cheap.

I like small cars.My current motor is a Fiat Punto, the cheapest, most basic model available. Frugal, fun to drive and reliable. It’s all I need.
